I am always amazed on how far rumors can go, with some very credible people asking the question to me "Is Chris Cormier dead?". Well, I am not kidding when I have received close to 20 emails just in the last 5-6 hours on this.
Well, let me stop this crazy rumor right now. Chris Cormier is alive and well, as I am talking to him on the phone at 9:45pm Sunday night PST. Oh yes, Shawn Ray also has joined us for a interesting conversation on this rumor.
So my first question to Chris Cormier was: "Chris, did you die today?". Chris responded "Well, only this morning. My family was freaking out, but I am fine now. Just like supposedly John Brown died last Thursday. Come on!"
I ask "So where did this rumor come from?". Chris answers "I don't know. I really don't. Last night, I redid my IPOD, then jumped on the road to go back home to Vegas from Los Angeles. Today, there is a rumor that I died. Someone called Charles Glass at Venice Gold's and he didn't hear anything about it, and then it just blew up from there. Man, even Charles asked me earlier today if I was ok? I said like, huh, what are you talking about???"
I ask "How are you feeling? Any pain? How did you die?". Chris replied "Very funny. I feel fine, no pain, I actually found this amusing, and I would like to know who started this rumor?
So for all those people who chose to publicize that an IFBB Pro is dead, shame on you for not even checking up on that. A simple phone call would of sufficed. Man, of only I didn't go eat out to dinner with the family. This rumored would of been stopped a while ago.
