twice, especially if on the juice.  you're most likely doing them twice already.  remember, bi's are being worked when you hit back indirectly, as are tri's when you hit shoulders.

I say once.

You hit biceps indirectly on your back day... and you hit triceps indirectly on chest day and on shoulder's day.

Should be plenty for the week.

the growth is to slow to decide what works better, once or twice a week. at one point you just dont grow that much more.

if you hit back and bi's and if 3 days later they're not sore at all, you're free to do them.  that simple.  never train muscles when they're sore, unless it's cardio based.  like doing eliptical even though ur legs are sore from squatting the day before.  no resisitance training.  you're good to go

I prefer to hit them twice a week. Not sure why it works better, it just does for me.

Yes, an arm day.  Always at the end of the week, after everything else is trained.  I have it then bc arms grow pretty easily for me.  If they were a lagging part, i may put them closer to the beginning of the week, when i'm not so tired.

Triceps first, then biceps.  I never superset the two muscles together either Mes.

not a lagging bodypart but my chest and back  is quite big im looking.. too give my arms a bit more size and quality..

He's not wrong either. Arms are just shy of 19 inches cold and I never train them directly more often than that.

That question is completely ambiguous and subjective.


So many other variables are going to decide what's best for you. How many times you work them in a week is the least important.

If you're looking to make them bigger, maybe add some different exercises and switch up the routine a bit.  THis should help.

My split is:

Monday: chest/calves
Tues:  Back
Wedn:  Hams/quads/calves (in that order)
Thurs:  Shoulders
Fri:  Triceps/biceps.

IMO nothing works better on a stubborn body part than supersetting with reps between 8-12.

I was curling that druggies weight when i weighed 160lb. Once every two-three weeks is a joke.


Interesting thread though, my strength goes up but i am not putting on arm size.

I train back three times a week as well as curls twice a week, different days, i would say overtraining but strength is going up. ???

excellent split i can see the logis push  then pull... then legs gives the upperbody time to rest then shoulders folowed by arms
i think Ill train back on monday then chest give my lower back time to recover for squats on wdnesday...

Exactly.  I like the give the upperbody that day off by hitting legs in between. 

Sometimes i do switch back day with chest day.
