That Wigger from Stockton always delivers.
I didn't like him at first as I don't care for the big-mouth show boaters. I'm more the Fedor type. Just does his talking in the cage and is oblivious to everything else. But over the years Diaz has grown on me. I love the guy!
I use to roll my eyes at his scrawny, ghetto, mean-mugging. Now it brings a big smile to my face. Even as a millionaire he's still kicking it with his crew in that ghetto of a City, Stockton, CA.
"Gats in holsters, Girls on shoulders"
I remember Nick Diaz was talking shit to Georges St-Pierre before raping him in the fight.
Nick asked GSP how many of his friends he saw shot, etc.
Georges started to answer, then stopped and asked why we're talking about that - that he's there to fight the #1 contender for the fight, not to compare childhoods.
Also, just the fact that Nick would somehow think it's worthy of showing off living in some shit-hole, while GSP lives in first world Quebec. It's just strange, the stuff people brag about.
A few weeks ago, a friend of a friend said "I've been smoking crack for 32 years!" I was thinking "Is this bitch seriously bragging about that?"
God, the stuff people boast about.
Also, if the UFC teaches us anything, it's that there is always someone bigger, stronger, faster, etc. And even that person will eventually fall.
As for Nate Diaz, I think he is turning 37 this year [or may already be - born in 1984, if I'm not mistaken]. He has been in the UFC since 2007, I think, having come from The Ultimate Fighter tv show.
So despite looking young, the dude has some miles on him. Pro MMA fighting is much like pro bodybuilding - you really have to know when to throw in the towel. GSP did it right. But very few fighters seem to know when to wrap it up. I guess that is a lot like pro bodybuilding...
