you can see from the first sky lobby there is a huge squibb that forms at least 20 stories before the "pancaking"

also, youll notice the metal is smoking as it falls, fire cant do that to steel ;)

youll notice in this video of the south tower collapsing there is a HUGE explosion happening at the basement level of the buildings before the collapse starts .. look at the size of the smoke cloud at 2 seconds in, thats gotta be 20 stories high

of course, it was just the result of a the raging jet fuel firethat went 1000 feet down the elevator shafts , despite the fact all the jet fuel had burnt off 50 minutes before hand ::)
