But in regards to Madoff, he caused a lot of people to lose jobs, not just "rich people."  In the golf industry alone, he had a huge impact.  As they say, shit flows downhill.

As for Madoff's victims, I have mixed feelings. His victims were not bitching when he was giving them outrageous returns on their money.  I mean you pay your money and you take a risk.  So, part of me says "fuck 'em."  On the other hand, I can certainly sympathize with those who have lost everything and now have to start all over.

As for Titus, he needs to rot in jail.  Same with the ugly wife...

he wasn't giving them outrageous returns.  he was giving them paper statements typed on a typrewriter (no joke) from his accountant who was in Bermuda.

NO ONE made real money from him.  a lucky few may have gotten their principal back.  when people started to ask for their money back was when the gig was up.

exactly.  he'd show crazy returns on paper, and most wouldn't cash out.  those that would, he'd replace with bringing more people in.

at the end, 50 billion went through his hands.  also, he hasn't made a trade since 2003.  so for the last 6 years at least, he's been purely robbing peter to pay paul and pocketing the difference.

According to this... 150 billion dollars is worth about 7.15 times a human life... So, we can accurately say that a human life is worth about 20.9 (21?) billion dollars.

Does that sound right to you guys?
