He is only depicted like that in some East Asian countries.

Buddha was not described that way and is usually depicted with a slender build or completely emaciated due to fasting.

Wasn't a fat belly a sign of high spirituality? The stomach area (dan tian) was thought to be the area where the soul resided.

Ancient Indian culture has had quite an influence on the South East Asian Countries which now follow Buddhism. I think China and Japan must have incorporated some of their own beliefs in the versions of Buddhism they follow, which is a bit different to the Theravada Buddhism of Thailand, Cambodia and Burma.

Because for some odd reason when we go bald the hair on our face grows faster and thicker. And because it makes us appear tough. Being tough guys means we don't give a shit about French words like cliche.

Having no hair at all gets boring. The only way you can change your look is with what you are wearing. Instead of toupees I have a large collection of different hats I wear.
