If you're young and healthy You can get the virus and pretty much recover ...

Sadly is a brand new virus so we don't know if those who survive it won't have scars/future damage in kidneys and lungs

(Of course Bodybuilders wouldnt give a flying fack to kidneys and lungs)

WoooSHHHHHHHHHHHHH   TA NA KA

It would seem how seriously COVID-19 affects other organs, including kidneys and liver depends on the severity of the infection on particular individuals.

I haven't really read much about this, but when the death rate is published, is it corrected for the age profile of that country?

By this I mean - are there just a lot more older people in Italy than in other countries?  (Due to the great diet and olive oil, no doubt)

It just seems reasonable to expect that a country with an older population will get hit harder...

In the US 50,000 died from pneumonia last year. This season 20,000 plus died from the ordinary flu in the US this year. Right now we have around 100 deaths from Corona and our economy is on the brink of collapse from the hysteria.

Half of the entire population in Italy is above 47 years old. They have limited testing and I wonder if the upper respiratory infections were actually pneumonia and the flu.  Without testing a fever and having trouble breathing could be confused with Corona. Again they don't have a flood of tests for Corona in Italy yet.

640,000 Italians die each year on average.

If they can't find graveyard space for 3000 coronavirus victims so far...

...how will they find space for the 640,000...

Think it works like this:

Something happening every year, you get an average, so you can plan for it.

But when something is happening in a very short period of time, that you didn't expect, and didn't plan for, then it becomes problematic.

Something like that.

China is sending medical experts and supplies to help Italy fight coronavirus

A group of 300 Chinese intensive-care doctors began to arrive in Italy on Wednesday, one of several Chinese offers to support epidemic-stricken European countries, as China tries to rebrand itself internationally from source of the new coronavirus to a friendly helper. Specialist doctors and medical equipment have landed in Italy ready to help tackle the sharp spike in people with the disease, which has overwhelmed medical facilities. The doctors bring with them first-hand experience of dealing with the coronavirus, having previously helped to tackle the original outbreak in China's Hubei province that killed more than 3,000 people. Tough quarantine measures have seen the rate of new cases in China dwindle, while in Europe the outbreak continues to spread.

Do governments and people plan for pandemics? Most of us are too busy trying to get through each day to think about such catastrophic situations.

China nipped it in the bud with drastic quarantine measures and are now virtually over it

Europe and the USA seem to want to drag it out for months with half assed "advice" as opposed to instructions and sanctions.

Which translates as we want to financially cripple the average worker.

Chinas economy is back up and functioning again, the rest of the world is crashing..

Preppers do.

Governments, worldwide doesn't seem too.

And yet we heard from experts over the years say that it's not a question of if, but when, something will happen.

Sort of like when you have an idea in your head ( like your dumb ass) and you keep finding reasons to support it, even when it isn't based in logic.....

USA and Europe didn't care about virus propagation in China.
When all the world knew that it's was problematic in China in January, nobody care
except for the trade and manufacturing sites.

They just woke up when they were hit.
