Whenever the topic of Looks comes up, particularly regarding the Looks Are Everything truth, it seems that average/medicore and below men reflexively post photographs of wildly successful yet unattractive men posing with their gorgeous wives/girlfriends with the idea of disproving everything, and renewing their own hope of one day seducing a top tier female. The usual list of celebrity men that pop up here include Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Donald Trump, Howard Stern, and others. Obviously, none of these men would be dating world class beautiful women if they were only earning $50k or even $150k per year. In fact, if they were earning $250k per year their current wives and girlfriends would have absolutely nothing to do with them. Their women are with them because of and only for their fabulous wealth. Nobody on this forum falls into this category. Those men do not represent your demographic so stop posting their pictures.

Now it is safe to say the above mentioned income range-$50 to $250k per year- is where the average American man falls. At the lower end, strippers and escorts will part him from his money, as well as low level sluts from Tinder. Guys who are in the six digits income range will be exposed to slightly higher status gold diggers who will certainly date and may even marry an average or below looking man because he will pay her bills and give her money. This is known as "BETA-BUX". Meaning, men are throwing money at women generally ABOVE their punching weight in return for otherwise unobtainable sex. The pitfalls here are: 1. The woman is most definitely going to cheat on you with more attractive men 2. You will be the recipient of your gold-digger's sex sparingly and infrequently. 3. The sex will be terrible because she is turned off by you physically 4. Eventually, because you are paying her expenses as well as your own, instead of getting that money into a compound interest portfolio, real estate investment, crypto, etc, you will go broke and your sexy wife will drop you like a hot potato. So that in a nutshell is BETA-BUX, and these women are generally in their thirties and at the tail end of their window of opportunity.

A brief word about ugly billionaires, celebrities, athletes with beautiful wives: it doesn't end well for them either. The wives usually have separate rooms and harldly every give them sex (Trump/Melania) and a very expensive divorce is inevitable. However, these men have the means to pay for a divorce and still live in abundance. Most men in normal society suffer financially in divorce and must lower their standard of living.

The hotness is the only currency some of those women have. If a guy is on an equal hotness level to the women (no homo) then the woman brings very little ammunition when it comes to power dynamics within the relationship. She either accepts she is inferior in the relationship and takes up a submissive role or she dates an ugly fella who she can getaway with acting like a spoilt brat with.

I studied psych at uni and they did studies on these kind of things and one that was interesting to me is that each person likes and feels more comfortable around those that look like him. For example I'm tall, slim and athletic and of all my friends throughout childhood onward, I've always like those who were like me the most. I had fat friends, short friends, non-white friends but I was never as connected with them as with those who were tall, blue-eyed, slim, athletic guys. They also said that romantic partners usually match with each other as far as attractiveness goes, ie. 5's match with 5's, 8's match with 8's.

Actually there is an exact and specific science regarding human attraction. What the average/mediocre man excitedly refers to as "solid 8's and 9's" are more likely low tier 4s and 5s.
