I remember hearing about this board from listening to The Pro Bodybuilding Weekly show with Bob Chick and Dan Salomon, I believe it was either Nasser or Kamali that kept mentioning Getbig, so I came here, started checking out the threads and it was pure comedy, I registered that same day. Side note: Pro Bodybuilding Weekly was a damn good show.

That's the same way I heard about Getbig.  I really enjoyed Pro Bodybuilding weekly too.

I have always been interested in bodybuilding even as a kid. Weider used to be located in the city I grew up in New Jersey. I would go there as a kid and they would give me stacks of Weider mags that were expired for sale.  I realized soon I have no potential for bodybuilding but it never stopped me from lifting hard. This site is rarely about bodybuilding anymore. I think pod casts, videos and social media has taken over posting forums like this one.

Most forums are dead. Social media took over.
Most forums have a few regulars who discuss what they want to.
If folks here want to talk BB only, they can hang out in the "Serious BB" section. (Not much happening there).  Or not...

Oh, I must apologize.  My friend John was here under the screen name "Reeves" as that was his favorite bodybuilder.  John passed away and I ultimately  joined to let people here that he said were great folks know of his passing.  And then I stayed.   

I had a couple of chances to meet Steve Reeves (one of my aunts was crazy about him!) but sadly never did. Along with Draper and Reg Park, Zane, Nubret, Arnold and a few others, Steve Reeves was a role model.   I knew I would never look like him but that did not deter my admiration for his physique.  And did I mention my aunt was in love with him?
