Today:

bis/tris at Koloseum...I had a wedding rehearsal in Brea at 6pm so it just made sense to workout there (down the street from the rehearsal) rather than by my house and then get stuck in traffic for an hour and half. Weddings are boring.

Chaos was there, so it was cool to chat w/ him a bit. He's a tiny-tit, but that's ok. You're what? Like 5'3" and about 160 -- you have quite a bit of fat to loose, so maybe 145 ripped. I helped him with his workout. I was impressed that he was able to bench 95lbs for 10 with a full range of motion and no bounce. Give him a month or so and we'll add a 5lb plate to each side.
I'm 5'4" >:( and it was 100 lbs, you must have not seen the 2.5's on each side :P

yeah, I've got quite the large amount of fat to lose, I figure 20-25lbs would be a good start :-[

Anyhow, Milos came to Hide and me and said: "I think Bluto is right. I'm going to change my whole training philosophy and do what Bluto says to do.".

So today we did heavy curls, skullcrushers and close grip bench. I think Milos has seen the error of his ways and has learned from the experience and knowledge of Bluto. Finally.

I'll upload pics later -- I've got to get some work done...eating dinner now.
I won't ruin you thread with flaming, garraeth, but I seriously fucking doubt the above post is true ;)

Your legs are sore the day after working legs? Why wouldn't they be? Seriously you sound like you just started working out. And I take it there's not a single picture of you guys using heavy weights in those 440 pictures posted since you refuse to comment on it. Makes me wonder if you're doing it right? Maybe you forgot that part of the training and just jumped straight to the no-weight routine.

Milamar is way cool. I was showing her how to upload pics to the gallery (in bulk and have the system auto-watermark them), and while the pics were FTPing up, we were lauging about that post about Milos' pic being on the gay porn site -- and the guy who posted the initial msg saying stuff like: "I'm not gay!" and "It was my friend who showed me the site!", etc...hehe...altho I'm pissed cuz some jackass mod DELETED (not moved, DELETED) it. It was way funny...and she wanted to see his pics on the site. heh.

Today we did legs - again. Milos is asking me to make sure to do full range of motion even if I can't do all the reps. As I said before about my back workout -- doing full ROM is insane. So doing it (and slow/controlled) for legs fucken kills you...I could feel the nerves in my head tingle from lack of oxygen. heh. damm.

Hide is a monster. He's doing double the weight I am and it hardly phases him.

yes of course, short sleeve, but what i mean is...

say those shots where you guys are training arms. now my way of thinking is that if you are a bber you should leave them uncovered (eg. tank or muscle shirt) so you get the visual stimulation and motivation. kind of like how arnold did with calves.

the other guys seem to get it ie hide and silvio (back when he was with milos), but...i dunno, it's your call. just thought i'd ask. :-\

cool pics garraeth. just save the ones where you're bending forward for no apparent reason and include the ones where milimar is bending forward for...any reason. ;)

There are a ton of middle-aged guys who ride street bikes around here. It's the newest fad for guys from 35-55. They all have money. And so buy $3k bikes and all the trimmings. Including the skin tight shirt and shorts with the bike racing stripes and logo look. And the gloves and pointy helmet.

I'd say about 75% of them are about 30-40% bf with a nice pot-belly bouncing against their knees as they peddle up and down hills huffing and puffing against the highest possible gear ratio money can buy. They are all posers. Wannabes. Never-wills. Have too much money and not enough sense. Don't want to pay their dues. Want instant gratification. Want the 5% bf look with a double cheeseburger and fries on the side.

i agree with you completely, but your making a mistake here.

think about this for a second. you are not doing strong man anymore, you are BODYBUILDING. now, i know i'm not an expert and you can take this or leave it, but bodybuilding IS about exhibition. the quicker you acknowledge that and abandon your phobias the better. if you weren't about exhibition you wouldn't have taken gear and put synthol in your arms. ;)

this is what gets me about bbers. i respect them totally but they often seem to be in a constant state of contradiction. it's like they feel they have to maintain this macho pretense to cover up for their narcisism.

they think that they can hide away and one day they will have developed enough muscle to finally come out and say, "look, i'm here!" as if anyone will give a shit.

it's like the guy that trains mma/boxing/whatever that hasn't got the confidence to get in the ring and spar or fight, so he turns up and trains dilligently, figuring that one day he'll suddenly turn into mike tyson or mirko cro cop and shock the world when what they should have been doing was fighting, win, lose or draw. when they finally get into the ring/octagon they get destroyed quickly and all their hopes are gone in a flash. usually they quit at this point. i feel sorry for these guys but if they only realised that to be good at something you have to do it ie you don't become a great tennis player by just practising the back hand every day.

bodybuilding = exhibition - accept this fact and take off the shackles of machismo bullshit.

So you're right...at my gym I wear tank-tops all the time. But that's cuz there I'm not a poser -- I'm the biggest guy there! At the K, it's almost like I'm a poser cuz I'm the SMALLEST guy there.

to become a successful athlete you need to become familiar with every aspect of your game from day 1 and feel it with all of your senses. bbing is a visual sport so it only makes sense that if you're going to train with the best you have to immediately put yourself out there and compare with them, and get the visual feedback. no point being shy in an exhibition sport. in fact, it follows that being so will only hinder your progress.

your 'poser' issue is confining and, what you mistake for humility, is actually ego. in your gym you feel you're the big dog (alpha) so you become complacent and arrogant - hence your lack of progress in that atmosphere. with milos, you're submissive and, while you now realise that you weren't working anywhere near hard enough at your gym (complacent), you're still not actually training with these guys, you're following them (submissive) which will also ultimately hamper your progress (how can you progress at the same rate if you're submissive to them).

no diss, you're doing great. just trying to be constructive is all. ;D

--two arm db curl
--preacher
--incline db curl
--barbell curl
--seated db curl - hammer
--reverse grip preacher
sounds brutal, looks like you guys did almost exactly what i did yesterday for triceps, close grip bench/overhead db extension/pushdown/lying extension giant sets, i did 3 rotations.
