I worked revolving shifts, long hours and long commutes. I always got my work outs in. I have been lifting for longer than you have been alive. I bet you live with Mom, have a job instead of a career and use juice to look like you know what you are doing but look like absolute crap with the drug assist.

I'm obviously right or you wouldn't throw such a hissy fit. You hit guys sure get triggered easily.

Very weak come back. Calling me lazy is a direct shot at me. Triggered? I don't even think about you. I have zero problems with volume trainers. You are the one that has to attack anyone that lifts with low sets to failure. It's post after post and all over get big. Bet you couldn't keep up with me for one week of training and I'm 65.

Very strong come back. Calling me lazy is a direct shot at me which is true. Can't deny that.  Triggered? I think about you since why else would I reply?  I have zero problems with volume trainers but I can't do volume because of my laziness. You state facts about anyone that lifts with low sets to failure and it's true. This is why I'm having a hissy fit right now. It's post after post and all over get big. Bet you could keep up with me for one week of training and I'm 65, old, past it and so sodding lazy.

getting back on topic Gentlemen, i would say that natural trainers can also profit from a split routine but better a 3 or 4 day split.  The 6 day splits are too much in my opinion.
Full Body i would do 2 times a week but train with intent.

Depends on how much work is being done per workout.

yes & no because it depends on intensity & how hard you train each set.

maybe some can do it we are all different but i like 3, maybe 4 workouts a week with not low sets but moderate, depends on how i feel. I am not a slave to any routine & do what i feel is best.
I go by my feelings on the day.

Intensity is overrated.

Intensity is overrated.

Yep. The nervous system does not recover well. When it is fatigued, the body responds by limiting the use of it. It does not "develop" it like a muscle. Real world example: have a bad day at work, now go and workout. Your capacity to workout is diminished because the NERVOUS SYSTEM is fatigued. It has nothing to do with your muscles.

That's why overtraining shows up as CNS symptoms, not muscular symptoms. Why would muscular overtraining cause depression and suppression of appetite, lack of sleep, nervousness?

Our bodies developed responses and adaptations to enable survival, not enable "big pythons". Essentially, it looks at "all out" muscular work as a an extreme danger to it's survival, so severe that the immediate adaptation is to limit your ability to do it again.

To use an analogy, HIT is like going out into the sun and burning to a crisp. The body makes damned sure you will not do it again anytime soon. Using less intensity but higher volume is like going out in the sun for 10 min, coming in, going out again later, etc.

That's why growth must be coaxed, not forced.

Intensity is % of 1 rep max. The Big Beyond Belief system has 8 factors that influence muscle stimulation and growth.

He was a master. Vince Gironda, Larry Scott and Pearl were the most knowledgeable trainers I've ever seen.

Bill Pearl was a good guy to talk to . I had 3 phone conversations with him & he was honestly a humble guy.
I said to him as a joke  iŽll come & train with you in your Home Gym in your barn ( he told me he had just came out of his barn )
He said sure why not come over, i never did but he was a cool guy.
was about 2005 & i can tell you he was very sharp & quick thinking.

A lot of guys took him up on the offer. I know Matt Furey trained with him for awhile.
