PBW Welcomes Hidetada Yamagishi "Live from Japan" (Replay)
« on: March 14, 2008, 07:20:20 AM »
Japanese Bodybuilding Champion Comes to PBW  (Listen Now - On-Demand)

Plus: Report from New Zealand & "Pep Talk" with MMA Champion Urijah Faber

"Pro Bodybuilding Weekly" presents one of bodybuilding's biggest headline makers when Japanese champion Hidetada Yamagishi visits the show.  In 2007, Yamagishi's rise atop the sport culminated when he became the first Japanese bodybuilder to walk on the Mr. Olympia stage.  Just three months later, Yamagishi found himself in the middle of a legal battle following an arrest in Los Angeles.  For the first time since returning to Japan, Yamagishi tells his story as he looks to begin his journey back to the Olympia.  The Voice of Pro Bodybuilding will also include the "Report from New Zealand" following the 4th IFBB pro show of the year.  -- On this weeks edition of "Pep Talk", Larry visits with WEC World MMA Champion Urijah Faber.  Regarded as one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world,  Faber (recently featured on MSNBC's Warrior Nation) discusses his place within one of the fastest growing sports in the world.

Q. What's Hide's plan on resurrecting his bb career?

Q.Has Hide sought legal/immigration advice on gaining access to the US?

Q. Has Hide received any official communication from the IFBB re his status in the pro division?

Ask Yamagishi if he is now an outcast in Japan for disgracing them.  I hear the Japanese are not as forgiving as Americans when it comes to prison time.  :-\

Of all the guys they could get on, they get a pro who got busted?
I wish Hide well, but could care less about this crap. If some pro gets busted it is THEIR fault, they know the risks and take them.I have zero interest in any excuses or lame reasons.
I doubt I will listen tonight.
Dex won 3 in a row , why not have him on or some other pro that is doing well?

Hide = First japanese pro to do the Olympia.
Also first Japanese Pro to be arrested for drugs at LAX.

Going to talk about his future... may or may not be the end.  hideo has "big plans" supposedly...

Dexter maintained his Olympia conditioning for the 2 pro shows.

Dexter is doing everything he can to win a sandow, but Bob doesn't think it will happen.

Dexter received exactly ONE CALLOUT at the Aussie show, and ONE CALLOUT at the NZ show.

That's all the judges needed.

Hideo comment on Milos Sarcev, 65 days of jail time
« Reply #16 on: March 17, 2008, 05:27:21 PM »
Q: Your flight landed at LAX in december.  What happened next?

A: I was arrested after landing on Dec 8, 2007.  Charged with 9 counts of possession of controlled substance.  6 felonies, 3 middermeanors.  I appeared in LA County for preliminary hearing on Feb 6, 2008.   All but 1 charge were dismissed.  I was charged

Feb 8, 2008, I was released from LA jail, where I spent 65 days.  Iwas tranferred to immigration.  From there, I found out my visa was revoked by immigration.  My lawyer told me i had two choices at that time... Fight immigration for revoking my visa, or to return to Japan.  Not deporting, just my free will.  I chose to return to Japan.

Right now I'm trying to get my visa back.

Hide:
It was fair to revoke my supplement contracts after I got arrested.  It was fair.  President of company was very good to me.  it's not just business.  I really appreciate the way he let me know.  It was no problem.

Japan pro show was cancelled because of my legal problem.  In the future, I believe they're gonna plan to have a show in japan again.

Q: What were you thinking?

Hide:
2007 was a big year for me, becoming first japanese Bber to go on Olympia stage.  I misunderstand rules.  I need a lot of help from my sponsor, my coach Milos, and a lot of people supporting me.  I should have appreciate their help more.  If I didn't go to jail, I never find out I made mistake.  I can fix my life.

ON MILOS
I want to work with Milos again in the future, forever.  he is my coach.  I can get Visa, but I don't know how long I can stay in US.

I stay in contact with Milos on email and phone, so it is still a good relationship and we are good friends.

Probably. I wouldn't doubt that Milos holds Hide 100% responsible and will try to get something out of hide.
