  I usually just come here for a good laugh and rarley contribute but I feel a need to point out the obvious.  Basile and Goodrum are both clowns, however I couldn't help but laugh my ass off the last few pages.  In my eyes these two numb nuts have accidentaly created a nice "memorial" to Keith.  Neither one of them have done anything shamefull in this thread (although they are both shameless).  I'm sure the big man would be laughing his ass off at these two jousting in his thread.   With each post they make themselves look dumber and dumber and I laugh harder and harder, and thats what GB is all about.  Basile has done his best to fill Keith's shoes  in the whole Goodrum battle.   Let it  continue in Keith's memory!

Yes, even RIP threads can end in flame wars on Getbig. No need to make an exception for Keith. I wonder how many here have actually read both sticky thread about Keith? If they did they would see that my tribute is about Keith. Yes, it includes shit about that certified jerk VG. But it has much, much more and I spent a lot of days digging out stories and information that will give you a glimpse into Keith the person. His battle with his weight and health. His lovely family. His good old days and so on. It is all there. Of course most of the flotsam will be unaware of this tribute because they lack sufficient intelligence and comprehension ability to actually read paragraphs and whole web pages.

I salute my mate Keith and we sure won't see the likes of him on the internet again. That spider stuffed up his life for sure, especially socially, which was sad. Lucky for us that he spent a lot of time on the internet and enjoyed interacting with many here. Don't forget there were a lot of nasty people who bagged him for several years about his appearance and weight. That is not something to be proud of. Those of us who have gyms know you never criticize a person for their appearance. You musclemen have no idea at all about obesity and think it is easy to change when you are really fat. Guess again, it is hardly that and unfortunately for Keith it can lead to a shorter life. I sincerely hope his children and grandchildren are okay today because it is a very sad day in the Jones extended family.

What you're saying here applies to people who are largely cosmetically overweight.  When it's life and death, things need to be a little more "to the point". I'm sure most of Keith's friends were very civil about their disagreement of his weight situation and I'm willing to bet there are more than a few of them rethinking the type of mindset you're promoting.

i agree. ive read all the posting(the good and bad)but you can see my dad in them, when i read them i can hear his voice. i love it. i can even see at times when he was sad and mad at himself for being so over weight. i dont think my dad figured he had gain as muh weight as he did. i am so mad at him for not taking care of himself for me and my kids. i miss my dad so much and all these good and bad stories help me hear his voice. i am sorry to the people that my dad hurt with his not so kind words. but thank you vince for posting all things he wrote. because the good stories and the funny stories make me laugh and some of them ive nevder heard. so its really nice.

Okay got to tell the buffet story.  Myself, David and Peter, Pete G. and a black guy named Clyde Butch Perry (Manny Perry's cousin).  He was a competitive BB'  I think he was in the USA or something like that.  Good size guy and really nice.  Well myself and one of my other friends picked up on some girls.  They liked us and wanted to hang around.  They came to the hotel in their convertible Rabbit.  We had a great idea.  Myself (300lbs.), David (270), Peter (250), Clyde (240) all got in the little Rabbit and drove around the traffice circle in front of the hotel.  You got to imagine this little car with us in it.  The tires were smoking and it was hilarious.  I have it on tape and pics somehwere but I think in LA.  Anyway the owner of the nightclub in town had the only limo in town so he let us use it while we were there.  So, comes dinner.  This hotel has the best seafood buffet in hawaii.  I used to fly to Hilo just for the buffet on Fridays.  So, we all sit down.  There was us, the two girls and a couple of other friends.

Now for my size I really don;t eat a whole lot.  But I do down the fish.  I had maybe a couple pounds.  The regular sides.  Instead of glasses of milk or orange juice all of us grabbed the whole pitcher and drank from them.  Instead of a piece of pie we grabbed the whole pie.  Anyway, about an hour later we are stuffed.  David is finishing what I had on my plate.  I of course had a plastic bag and took quite a bit of the fish to my room for later.  So we are all sitting there stuffed to the gills.  Pete is at the other ended of the table eating everything on the table that was left.  Pete now weighs about 180 or 190.  He eats only one meal a day.  He is a night person.  he used to tell me about how a lion lives.  Sleeps all day eats at night one big meal.  Very efficient he used to tell me.  I kind of live like that but I got it mixed up and thought he said eat all day and night.  Anyway, so he eats an incredible amount of food.  Sometimes he will order 4 or 5 times at a restaurant when we go out.  Even my daughters can't believe how much he eats. Anyway, we just couldn;t believe what we were seeing.  Our table ate more than probably all the other tables put together that were eating when we were there.  So if you ever get a chance to eat with Pete.  Fast before you go cause you are going to gain weight.  And the funny thing is how trim he stays doing this.

i've been a member of GetBig since 1999 and thus have 'seen' several on line deaths of characters if you will.  so it was legitimate for us to question 'reality'.  for example, having witnessed members who get suddenly cancer and are then cured. scepticism is standard operating procedure for me.

 

there is a void currently on the forum. this too shall pass.  i will miss keith's sense of honor and humor. i will not miss the imagery he posted that got him in TO so regularly and which i warned him about. keith loved participating in the back and forth of these boards and he will be missed.

Yes, Keith was here every day for 6+ years.  I felt as though I "knew" him better than many people I associate with IRL, and I'd bet many others feel the same way.  His death was a nasty shock.  RIP, Brotherman.

my dad could be very mean, but let me tell you that everything mean that was said to him, he took it with a smile he loved fueling the fire. I am not saying that I agree with the things my dad posted. The things he said about some people, I would never say and I used to tell my dad to be nice but... Well he had fun and yes it got him in trouble. I dont think anyone deserves to be ragged on or made fun of no matter the age. But my dad did it to people and people did it back him. SO....what can I say. But he did love this site. And I am on here everyday reading posts and I know why he loved it here.

Yes, Keith and I spoke business on occasion.  Unfortunately, he did not always see my vision.  For example, I developed a child friendly computer that I wanted to pitch to Apple but Keith wouldnt help.  He kept insisting that the 'iTouch Kids' wouldnt sell.

He also knew me on a personal level.  A few months ago I told him about these young twins I was nailing.  He asked how I could tell them apart.  I told him that the brother had a mustache.  
And on my last holiday, I went to the receptionist at the hotel and asked her if the porn channel in my room was disabled.  She told me that it was a pay per view service, and I would only be charged if I watched.  I informed her that I'd gladly pay if they were.

Some of you may think Im cold, but really Im a caring person.  I always drive extra slowly through school zones.
