During my 20 minute drive home from work, there's almost nothing on the radio. So I often end up listening to that gasbag Michael Reagan on the local FOX affiliate. He's not as utterly despicable as Rush - but still a profoundly loathsome specimen.
And yet, I found myself laughing with him in agreement the other night. He played a clip of Hillary (rightly) attacking some aspect of the current Iraq policies. And then he asked, "Can you bear the prospect of listening to that voice for the next 4 years?"
I know there's a feminist argument to be made about the condescending dismissal of angry women as "shrill". But there's no arguing with sound frequencies - and there are some punishing ones produced by that larynx of hers.
