It's just a stupid way to make a point.

I don't have an example of a Democrat mimicking exactly what you described, but have plenty of examples of them backtracking, being hypocrites, and capitalizing on misfortune or shitty behavior to succeed.

As the nature of sexual harassment allegations against Biden have changed, so, too, has Harris' response to them.

In March 2019, Lucy Flores, a former state lawmaker from Nevada, accused Biden of inappropriate touching and of kissing her head at a campaign event. Following that, six other women came forward to share stories of unwanted touching by Biden.

"I believe that, and I believe Joe Biden believes that, too," Harris said.

She added she can "only speak to the Joe Biden I know."

"The Joe Biden I know is somebody who really has fought for women and empowerment of women and for women’s equality and rights," she said.

BTW - Why are you even pretending to care about allegations of sexual assault.  Trump something like 20+ allegations against him up to and including rape

Trump also just endorsed a guy who is accused of sexually assault by 8 different women (so far)
