Snowboarding has a metabolic equivalent of 4.3-5.3, which puts it much closer to things like archery, flower-planting, and golf than to actual cardio like running, cycling, swimming, or cross-country skiing.

So good cardio if you’re a total pussy I suppose.

You couldnt be dumber when people snowboard they do it for hours a day at altitude in freezing conditions. It is absolutely exhausting if you are an expert boarder charging down the black diamonds.  You clearly do not snowboard. And fucking spearfishing will drown a lot of strong swimmers it is one of the hardest things you can do.

“Hours a day”, most of it spent riding the lift and standing around. 

Not surprising that’s difficult for you since you couldn’t manage the physical effort of standing around at Home Depot for more than a couple days.

We call them Tako in Hawaii and the locals would spear them in shallow water. I prefered going after larger trophy fish offshore I have had to poke a shark woth my speargun that was getting to close. I also did a lot of solo yak spearfishing off the North Shore Beaches. Again it can be exhausting I have thrown up spearfishing from exhaustion. Chasing fish at depth on a single breath aint easy and sometimes yiur dive gets extended people drown

I doubt my heart rate got over 90.

I can ski in Taos for 8 hours straight, about 2 hours of that is physical activity.

I've done the backwoods off track triple diamonds all over the Rockies.

And never lost any weight doing it.

Again if you dont think snowboarding all day is cardio you are an idiot or a bad snowboarder. My bodyfat goes to damn near 0 when I snowboard for a couple days of course I charge the slopes. And please I have snowboarded all over the world I even worked for Vail.
