I step on prob 10 nails a year on job sites,usually rusty ones and the last tetanus shot I had was 20 years ago. Last year I had two nails go from bottom thru top of foot.fuck tetanus.

I think it is primarily the mandate Soul Crusher is against. Like a lot of us, he likely dislikes wearing a mask because, well, they just aren't comfortable. I've found that given the opportunity to remove a mask most people will...this is particularly true for anyone doing something physically taxing.
When the delivery guys came last week to set up the furniture I bought, they showed up wearing masks. Setting up the bed was taking a long time and appeared to be taxing. I suggested they could remove their masks if they chose to. Guess what they did? Right, they pulled them down and thanked me. I made sure to maintain social distancing and let them know that I was fully vaccinated.
Inherently most people don't like being told they have to do something as opposed to being asked to do something. This is even more so when it's a government mandate. I believe this is because many people feel a complete disconnect and distrust in government. We've heard too many lies and false promises for too long.

Not in Oregon. because clothing is optional. Even where it isn't an option, many people protest by wearing a few clothes as possible or very revealing clothes, unless they are strict Muslim females or some other religion or group that requires them to cover up. ;D

I don't think they knew what to make of me. I disagreed that the financial system is collapsing, and disagreed that an appropriate remedy is to stash all your money under your mattress.
They also didn't appreciate that I intend to take a RAT test every day before going to work in someone's house. Told me I would be complying. Well, no, it's a decision I'm making on my own because it makes my business more marketable, not because someone ordered me to do it, and no one has ordered that anyway. You get to make your own decisions. That's the whole point, right? They weren't sure how to reply to that but they didn't like me, lol.

It hardly got discussed, which I found odd, but maybe they'd gone over it in past meetings. One girl, who seems to have taken control of the group and is straight out of an Antifa riot, yapped endlessly about forming a food co-op dedicated to organic produce, and how judges are terrified of defendants who can quote Common Law. She was completely bonkers.
The vast majority were just larping boomers. Marshmallows who sit around on their comfy retirement nest egg all day. I wouldn't think so. Most people have perfectly rational concerns and questions. People like my clients whose daughter ended up in hospital with excruciating chest pains in days following Pfizer, but she and they still have to take quarterly boosters or they're all fired. I think the next trend is resentment by the manditorily vaccinated.
And I think the proper approach is to reach out to such people and let them have a voice. The wrong approach is to circle wagons, retreat from civilization to a mountaintop and live as a law unto yourselves, which seemed to be what the crazies I met were intending.

I read or heard somewhere that RAT tests are or will be free, that is if we ever get access to them. "Oregon promised at-home coronavirus test kits. Where are they?"

As for your last sentence, I think that may stand for most self-organised quasi-political groups - there is a need to demonstrate obedience/compliance/commitment to the cause, so any lukewarm handed people are perceived with suspicion - these new people notice that and either drift away again or ramp up their responses to gain acceptance. A bit like new gang members having to cold cock a stranger or survive a beating or hazing or something to gain admission... it's all tribalism, cults, etc. isn't it

I would guess they regard vaccine mandates as the actions of a fascist government, although no one said so explicitly. That seems like a sensible position to me. I'm confused how US liberals have come to support authoritarian intrusion in matters of bodily autonomy.

I don’t know why I step on so many nails but it’s usually pieces of trim or siding or shingles broken off hidden in flower beds or higher grass areas around houses that had nothing to do with us. I expect it now. Most crews are lazy sacks of shit and just toss stuff. My buddy has nailed himself to plywood a few times with a nail gun doing roofing hahah.
