Front squats super set with pull ups

20 reps - 12 pull up
15 reps - 10 pull up
10 reps - 8
8   reps - 8
5   reps - 6
2   reps - 6

Run 1 mile easy in 7:30

2 sets - 25 push up, 25 sec hold from 1.5 inch rope

2 sets - run 1/4 in 1:30 super set _aj_ style hex bar press

Ran one mile @ 6:40

1/8 walk, followed by 1/4 runs:  1:15 / 1:29: 1:25 / 1:25  - essentially a 5:35 mile broken into chunks.

Ran one mile @ 7:30

20 sets of 40 seconds of exercise on turf field, 20 seconds rest between sets.

Awesome!...just exactly how do you pyramid those exercises???....you pyramid up or down?....in how many increments?

Start

1 pull up / 2 push up / 3 sit up

Do that until 5 / 10 /15   Then rest one min between sets until you hit 10 / 20 / 30.....then run it back down.  Takes about a half hour.....the sit ups are the hardest for me personally, push ups the easiest.

Good workout followed shit workout from Friday.  Strep must be leaving my system.

1 mile @ 6:34

1/4 mile 80lb sand bag carry (arms crossed in front, not on shoulder)  stop 4 times and do 25 push up, 100 total.

1 mile @ 6:53

100 yard weight pull (backwards run and row)

1/4 mile 80lb sand bag carry on shoulders.  Stop half way and do 50 plyo jumps up bleachers, 1:03 plank at end

50 yard 40lb sand bag rotational throw followed by 5 push up (50 total)  / 50 crunch

1 mile run @ 6:38   1:05 plank at end

DB Bench 15/12/10/8  superset Atomik Bomb pull up 12 / 10 / 6

Split Landmine press 3 x 10 superset TRX Row 3 x 8

Shoulder circuit - laterals, band pulls and Atomik bomb times hangs.....been awhile on these....lost some grip strength at that angle.

Already was a mod....this was just making my powers unmatched.

But, 4 miles was easy and safe, so i'm good....doing a GoRuck end of Sept and a Spartan Beast about 10 days prior to that.

Need to keep going.

Selection....LOL...never .

It's a Tough Challenge.  Was training for Boston Heavy last winter, and tore IT band and upper thigh......decided to scale back to a tough challenge for first one.  Still expecting it to be more brutal and tough than any event I've done in the past.

mate, you're fit...prob more than you realise. I bet you could smash a selection with a few months training, but yeah better to start with a tough to gauge what it's like.  thigh injuries are shit though. I've ripped my adductor right off years ago that never repaired. looks weird but got back to full fitness after about 9 months. just aches now.

Thanks man - appreciate it.  But I don't know if you followed Soul Crusher when he posted here, but he's a fucking machine with this stuff and HE wouldn't even try selection.  That's for the 100 push up / 100 situp guys and it's 48 hours straight madness.

I hear you on the thigh.......i'm fine, but it's always "there".........tore it on a bodyweight lunge, of all things, and it was the back leg.

7.2 mile ruck @ 1:31.06

Then, 10 sets consecutive - 10 JJ / 10 push up / 5 pull up for 100 / 100 / 50  last three sets were only 4 pull up so had to make them up at the end.

Then, went right to neighbor's cookout for three beers.

No food yet.
