Good game.
Have the new safety rules crossed over to CFL as well.
Meaning hipdrop tackle ban, only allowed to say BOO to the quarter back etc.

I don't know about the hipdrop tackle ban in the CFL. There are a lot of different rules like 3 downs instead of 4, 110 yard field, 15 yard deep end zone, goalposts on the goal line, field is wider, multiple receivers can be in motion, 1 point for touchbacks, coach can use replay for penalties, etc, etc. They do have the ticky tack no hit on sliding QB rule that NFL has as well.

Oh yes, my bad. It is a bit different in general as well.

This Aiyuk contract situation is pretty irritating.  The Niners should have extended him before the WR market exploded.  Clearly a tactical error.

They are apparently a couple million dollars a year apart, which sounds petty.  I hate when I allow myself to get emotionally caught up in billionaire owners negotiating with multi-millionaire kids about a game that is played part of the year.  But it happens all the time.   :-\

I know, it's irritating. Some players would rather get a couple million more and play for a shitty team instead of having a real chance to win a title. They already get generational wealth contracts.

Aiyuk signed.  Trent Williams signed.  Upgraded at DE opposite Bosa.  The rest of the team intact.  Feeling pretty good, again, if they can stay healthy.

Staying healthy is always key. By the time the playoffs arrive half of these teams have new starters.

I agree.  We lost Hufanga during the season and Greenlaw in the Super Bowl.  Not having those two contributed to SF losing to KC in the Super Bowl.  You know someone is going down on pretty much every team at some point.  I just hope it isn't someone like CMC.

Jordan Mason.  Holy smokes.  I knew he was good, but didn't realize he was that good.

Good win by my Niners.  They should be even better when CMC, Hufanga, and Greenlaw come back.  And when Aiyuk stops dropping TD passes after getting paid a ton of money.

Ugly loss to the Vikings.  Got outcoached and outplayed, except for Fred Warner, who was the best football player on the field.

Deebo out for at least two weeks with a calf strain.  I saw that coming with them using him on kick returns and in the backfield with CMC out.

Most of these games end on the last drive of the game like tonight's MNF game.

Terrible loss to the Rams.  Some bright spots (Purdy and Jennings).  A lot of bad:  the defense, special teams, coaching, and Ronnie Bell.  Shanahan is one stubborn mofo.  There is no way Ronnie Bell should be getting reps over the rookie Jacob Cowing.

It's been terrible football across the league so far probably because no one plays in preseason much anymore. We'll see if things look better in the coming weeks.
