Girlfriend needs help!!!!!

My girlfriend is 5'6 185lbs. and wants to get to 125-130. She used to be a swimmer in high school and has an athletic frame with strong legs, and wider shoulders. Is there a sample diet for one day one of you women can suggest for beginners; and, is there a sample program also for a beginner. Her goals are to lose that weight, but if she looks good at 140 then she will be happy with that. She just wants to be tone, and I am the chef in the house and need a hand preparing the correct foods in portions for her. Thanks ladies. :)

GET_BIGGER:
Go to the nutrition board.  Cardio is importatant also, 1/2 hour 3-5 times a week.  Throw all the twinkies away, no more stopping at KFC either.

I don't think those were the answers he was looking for...you guys are cruel. I would suggest a low-fat diet and lots of cardio to begin with, that's a heavy weight for a 5'6" frame.
