It's funny, growing up in the late 70's and 80's I don't remember thinking much of it at the time, but fuck I sure miss it now.

It wasn't great.

Inflation was high. The economy sucked. Interest rates were thru the roof. Aids was rampant. The Cold War was on.

The only thing that has gotten better is technology. Then again, that technology also brought us social media. $:-\$
