Markups

So as i'm wrapping up the store opening, i've noticed something.

Basically, stores that will remain nameless will mark up as much as 4 times the price they get from their suppliers.

I'd say the average is about 200 percent from what i've seen so far.

Is that common?  It just seems like a bit much.  With a 100 percent markup i'll be fine.  Should i do 200 too?  Everyone else is doing it.

at the least, you bill when you need.
at the most, you bill what you can.

When i worked at the restuarant our liquor markup was tremendous.  Sounds about right though
