Every gas station, that I know of, has a diesel pump in California. And just about (or more) priced as high  as regular gas rates.   Pickups/trucks (private or commercial) probably use the most by far.  Even have a few diesel motorcycles out here. #1 diesel is graded for public street and highway use. #2 diesel is used for heavy equipment, construction sites any any other vehicles used off public roads.. In some rural area's you can get #1 or #2 from the same gas station. Can also get propane to run fitted cars or trucks. A few outlets have a electric car recharger station. At bigger truck stops you can usually get any grade diesel you want, plus propane. At bigger truck stops you can also get any type drug or hooker you want also.
