The life insurance business did not take Covid seriously.

An explosive new study claims researchers found 'unique fingerprints' in COVID-19 samples that they say could only have arisen from manipulation in a laboratory

The study showed there's evidence to suggest Chinese scientists created the virus while working on a Gain of Function project in a Wuhan lab

Gain of Function research, which was temporarily outlawed in the US, involves altering naturally-occurring viruses to make them more infectious in order to study their potential effects on humans

According to the paper, Chinese scientists took a natural coronavirus 'backbone' found in Chinese cave bats and spliced onto it a new 'spike', turning it into the deadly and highly transmissible COVID-19

The researchers, who concluded that COVID-19 'has no credible natural ancestor', also believe scientists reverse-engineered versions of the virus to cover up their tracks

Ex-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is accusing the National Institutes of Health of trying to suppress the Trump State Department's probe into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic and says there were even some people in his former department itself that wouldn't work to support the efforts into an investigation.

He also told Fox News' Laura Ingraham Thursday night that comments made by National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci sound almost like he is parroting Chinese Communist Party propaganda.

"It should come as no surprise to anyone that there were folks at the State Department who didn't like President (Donald) Trump, didn't like me, didn't like what we were doing and were going to work to thwart our efforts," Pompeo, now a Fox News contributor, told Ingraham.

In addition, Pompeo said he was dealing with "internal debate" from the National Institutes of Health, where "folks were trying to suppress what we were doing at the State Department as well."

The State Department, however, did release documents on Jan. 15 of this year, shortly before Trump left office, that "demonstrate some of the central facts that we now know that lead to overwhelming amounts of evidence" that proves the coronavirus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic "probably" came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

A California county cut its COVID-19 death toll by around 25% after determining that some deaths were not a "direct result" of the virus.

Alameda County revised the total number of deaths caused by the coronavirus to 1,223, down from 1,634.

County officials decided to revise the numbers to align with the California Department of Public Health's guidance on how to classify deaths. The county previously included deaths of anyone infected with the virus, regardless of whether COVID-19 was a direct or contributing cause of death.

Neetu Balram, a spokesperson for Alameda County Public Health, said that some of the deaths "were clearly not caused by COVID," the Los Angeles Times reported.

"Obviously our definition was broader than the state’s," Balram said, adding that the department had always planned to conduct an update "when cases and deaths stabilized."
