Anybody here ever have prostatitis or have chronic prostatitis? I just finished up Bactrian ds twice daily for 21 days and I’ve been off for 4 days and it’s right back where it was before I took antibiotics. Just wondering if I have the chronic version cause if so this is gonna suck.

You might want to try saw palmetto liquid caps. Been taking it for decades now.

Nope. Prostate issues are no joke. Aren’t you in your 40’s, going to be dealing with that a long time unfortunately for you.

See a good urologist. Is is factual it's an infection or did a general practitioner take a shot playing the odds? They have new things on the market like urolift if it's not an infection or cancer. That little prostate can fuck you up. Make your life miserable and even kill you.

I have had it since my teens and it was due to a chronically tight pelvic floor which stemmed from a bad back - maybe try active release, training and use a reverse hyper.

5 yrs ago I got it I and I swear it was the worst thing in my life I thought I was dying from prostate cancer or something pain like I rode a bike for hrs underneath,pain in my dick like u can’t believe,took me 3 months of treatment and I’m good,go to urologist Yearly psa is like nothing.

Find another doctor. The first antibiotic i took was inapropriate and i had to use another one. It worked marvels.
Red fruit suplements are proven to help preventing the bachteria from attach to the bladder and get expell in urine. Won't hurt.

I had good treatment antibiotics strong one month /4 advils a day/warm baths lol....worked i was in tremendous pain ,it was all over weirdest part was PAIN EXCRUCIATING at the head of my dick...

HahahAhaha thank you for all posts helpful and not. It’s fucking brutal but I will say I do like the pain when ejaculating,the burning thru urethra adds a little nice pain to the pleasure.

Bactrim has pretty good coverage, if that didn't work obtaining cultures to identify the causative pathogen might be a good idea. Otherwise they may just start you on a quinolone (Levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, etc).
Don't look up the procedure for obtaining prostatic cultures ;D

Thanks, I was on bactrim double strength twice daily for 21 days. It started to feel good about 2 weeks in and until finished then 2 days later it was back. I’ve heard cipro is rough.

I had several episodes of prostatitis when I was in my 20's and 30's, Eventually I had a permanently enlarged prostate and had to get my PSA checked a several times a year. My doctor put me on Proscar when I was in my late 30's. I have no idea if this has anything to do with my having prostate cancer. At least I don't worry about it being enlarged anymore because it was removed several years ago. Since then, my PSA has remained undetectable and I only need to have that checked once each year having passed the 5 year mark cancer free.
A friend of mine had issues with prostatitis when he was still young. His was caused by over consumption of alcohol according to his doctor.
