I think people use alot More now and take zero time off.

Not sure what they did in 92 but the growth hormone amounts are definitely a lot more.

Its very possible that Rhoden ate an incredibly unhealthy diet when not competing. The man could have been eating a lot of fast food or possibly he had a natiral disposition toward calcification of his arteries. Couple that with PED use that does cause an elevated cholesterol in some. Very possible that he was just a ticking time bomb as most men in their late 40s if the same factors are involved...minus the PEDs.

As a hobby...if you aren't blasting roids and eating 6 times a day for 4,000+ calories a day.

At that point, you may look good on the outside, but have the organs of an obese, drug addict.

Abs wont stop heart disease. Big biceps won't stop your liver or kidneys from failing.

Bodybuilding should never be confused with health and fitness.

I made a flippant comment earlier in the thread about George Farah saying the same thing, but maybe there's something in it?  Just because the gear stops bodyfat build-up on the cheeseburger diet doesn't mean it's all good on the inside...
