In 2011, when Luke Wood and Art Atwood died back to back, that was a big deal.

In 2017, when Dallas McCarver and Rich Piana died back to back, that was a big deal.

But at what point have we seen a predicted Mr. Olympia winner [212 Class, George Peterson], and a Mr. Olympia who literally just became Mr. Olympia three years earlier, die in just as quick a time frame?

What is happening this year? Why have there been so many more deaths than ANY other year in bodybuilding history?

Because medical supervision of steroid cycles is now actively discouraged...Doctors have to think about their license...When you have untrained self prescribing you will get trouble.

I'm not too sure about that. I have a crushed disc in my lower back, arthritis in my knees, a couple of torn muscles. From lifting. And lifetime natty. Maybe if I didn't go balls to the walls with the weights in my 20's I would have been fine but yeah. It's not great for your body to crush your body with heavy weights for decades, regardless if natty or not. But sure my organs and cardiovascular system are probably great compared to AAS users.

The guy was an alcoholic for years but people just assume bodybuilding killed him. As far as we know it had nothing to do with bodybuilding. 46 year old men who have never touched a weight die from heart attacks.

She and her husband were con-artists.  They set up the meet when he just got his Olympia check while he thought he was getting some white (you know).  Everything went A_hole backward.  That's why the case is all over the place.  Rough run for him when you add in his wife and daughter (major Ls) and Laura (minor L) but he brought it all on himself. RIP.
