Well, the Lion was just doing "human nature".  He had his mouth around the base of the neck/throat choking the life out of the guy.

When you work with these animals you assume the risks involved.

These animals can be never tamed, even though they're like pussycats at times.

It's tragic these things happen, especially to wild life scientists, but I can't say I feel sorry for this circus dude.

truest me... the zoo i worked in is heavily infolved in a lot of Breeding programs, i tell you a true story, the zoo is very rich since we get funded by a german city and in these days it's not easy for a zoo to make some hard cash, but that zoo was loaded.
When I made my apprentiantship there they build this HUGE are for Wolfs and especially for the bears who have lifed in these really small cages from the old times.
It was so cool to see these bears get out of the box we had to transport them in and for the first time feel and smell grass to see more than just a couple of meters have a hill to play on and so forth... it seriously made me cry.
