striker does come off as somewhat of an asshole, however he seems to have been a fan  and a wrestling  historian of sorts for the sport so that ain't all bad.
I just find him very, very annoying.

What Batista is willing to accept will probably be largely dependent on his other opportunities.
Is it a case of “what else is he gonna do?”
Or, does he have the ability to strike it on his own?

If he did - in fact - leave WWE over this movie dispute, he just may take whatever TNA offers him unless his agent has some big plans outside of wrestling already lined up for him.

Don’t forget, too, that Dixie has been pretty accommodating with her (especially, bigger) talent - much more so than Vince.
TNA knows they can’t compete directly with WWE salaries, so they offer other incentives to sweeten the pot.

Dave may arrange for lower pay, but with a lighter schedule that would allow him to pursue other ventures (like acting) while working for them - I’ve read of similar deals for other main-eventers.

The incentive seems to be...LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. TNA is based in the Southeast, where many wrestlers live (i.e. Georgia, Florida, etc). As these wrestlers get older, they need and want more time at home with their families.

Cena is from the northeast and he's single. So, McMahon can run him ragged, as he did with Michaels back in the 90s. Triple H is married (obviously) but lives in the same area as WWE HQ; he gets home more often.

If Batista is bailing, let’s hope he remembers the “time-honored-tradition”.

1. Cena IS married

2. The main reason why Wrestlers go to TNA is the fact that they can work TNA + other ventures for extra money as to were WWE only allows you to work for WWE.

Who is Mrs. "You-can't-see-me"?

I don't doubt your #2 statement. Angle stated that he left, because he did have an interest in doing some movie work. But, WWE would have only let him do WWE-produced films (I'm basing this off memory of an Angle interview I saw on YouTube).

And, the location thing also helps, being based in the Southeast.

I honestly don't know. He married some chick outside of the business. Never seen pics of her.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Sean Waltman's last appearance on TNA Impact, where he was laid out, was reportedly his final appearance with TNA for the time being. It is expected that Eric Young will now serve as Waltman's replacement in The Band.

SPIKE TV GIVES LITTLE PERSON WRESTLING A NEW NAME WHEN

"HALF PINT BRAWLERS" PREMIERES JUNE 2 AT 11 PM, ET/PT

Six-Episode Unscripted Original Series Follows The Wild Antics Of

Infamous Little Person Wrestling Troupe

New York, NY, May XX, 2010 – Spike TV explores the outrageous world of little person wrestling with "Half Pint Brawlers," a new unscripted half-hour, six-episode series premiering Wednesday, June 2 at 11:00 PM, ET/PT. This original series chronicles the often-absurd yet astonishing adventures of one of the most extraordinary performance wrestling groups in the country who will do just about anything inside and outside of the ring.

A combination of "Jackass" and "Little People, Big World," the series will be seen through the eyes of these extreme little people, "The Brawlers." These self-proclaimed hardcore little person wrestlers, led by gregarious owner Puppet "The Psycho Dwarf," entertain crowds in venues all across the U.S. with their unique brand of wrestling prowess. Along the way, Puppet deals with issues surrounding little person wrestling events while, at the same time, keeping his rambunctious wrestlers in line. The series follows their actions inside the ring, but also their wild lifestyles outside the ring, filled with chaotic parties and over-zealous groupies.

The "Half Pint Brawlers" consist of Puppet, the leader and founder of the group; Bobby, the ladies man; Kato, Bobby's brother and veteran wrestler; Mad Mexx, the Immigration Sensation and hard core wrestler; Turtle, the rookie of the group paying his dues to become a Brawler; Teo, the smallest and most athletic member; and Spyder, the regular-size announcer for the group.

In the premiere episode, "The Brawlers" start off the wrestling season with two shows in Kansas City, MO and Wichita, KS. They keep busy by hazing Turtle, the group's newest member, and push him to see just how far he's willing to go to become a Brawler. During the first wrestling event, Kato's head is split wide open and he receives 55 stitches to his dome. Determined to wrestle in the big match in Wichita, Puppet is forced to decide between Kato's safety and pulling off a great show.

Stu & Helen's house is up for sale again...
Timescolonist.com is reporting that the legendary Hart Mansion, which was home to the the famous Hart "Dungeon," is currently up for sale. Here is an excerpt from the article:

"Described as “one of the most sophisticated buying opportunities of this century,” the iconic Hart mansion, one of the country’s most famous historical residences, has been listed for sale in Calgary for nearly $5 million, the Herald has learned.

The three-storey mansion, formerly owned by wrestling’s famous Hart clan and currently owned by Dario Berloni, owner of the downtown Teatro Restaurant, is about 5,600 square feet on about one hectare of land with stunning views of the city from Patina Place S.W.

It has been refurbished inside, but the legendary dungeon, a specially outfitted, custom-built basement where famous wrestlers trained over the years, has been preserved."

TMZ.com is reporting that Hulk Hogan had a recent heart scare while undergoing medical tests for possible back surgery in the future.
The EKG that he received showed some type of a problem with his heart, however, when he was sent to a specialist for further evaluation, it was revealed that his heart is working fine.
Hogan will supposedly undergo another back surgery in the near future.

Scott Hall arrested: Wrestler charged with disorderly intoxication, resisting at Seminole County bar

Professional wrestler Scott Oliver Hall was arrested earlier this month on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer following an incident at a Seminole County bar, sheriff's records show.

Hall, 51, was at the Hitching Post Bar in Chuluota on May 14, when the Seminole County Sheriff's Office was called in for a disturbance complaint about 1:43 a.m., an offense report shows.

The deputy found a bartender standing in the door telling Hall to leave, but Hall was yelling and cursing at the bartender and other patrons there, according to the deputy's account. The deputy also said Hall appeared intoxicated with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.

When the deputy advised Hall he was being placed in custody for disorderly intoxication, he tried to prepare him for the handcuffs, but Hall refused, the documentation states.

"Scott refused this directive, and instead, thrust out his chest, walking closer to me, stating, 'I ain't going down for this [expletive deleted],' " the report states. "This is [expletive deleted]. You know it's [expletive deleted]."

The report goes on to say that Hall continued to refuse, but the deputy managed to secure his left wrist with a handcuff and then pulled his right arm behind him.

"Due to Scott's inordinate size, 6'05", 295 pounds, I utilized two sets of handcuffs in tandem," the deputy noted in the report.

Hall was then placed in the patrol car.

Hall could not be reached Friday at a phone number listed on his offense report.

The bartender told the deputy that Hall had been "drinking heavily" and "became aggressive inside the bar," the report states. He pushed a customer and argued with the female bartender and called her names, the report says.

The bartender managed to line up a ride home for Hall, but he punched the window of the car that came for him and he pushed two female patrons near the car, according to the report.

Hall was transported to the Seminole jail and was later issued a trespass warning, notifying him never to return to the Hitching Post Bar on County Road 419.

Hall has had several arrests in Orange County, most for criminial mischief and alcohol-related offenses.

The bartender told the Orlando Sentinel that the bar owner would not approve a phone interview while she was working Friday.

Hall's offense report indicates he has a Chuluota address. On a booking sheet Hall's occupation is listed as professional wrestler. Under the field titled employer, the word unemployed was inserted.

According to the WWE website, Hall defeated Roddy Piper for the U.S. Championship at the WCW SuperBrawl in early 1999. But Ric Flair took the title from him less than a month later.

He regained the title eight months later, taking out Goldberg, Bret Hart and Sid Vicious in a ladder match, the website says. But he lost the championship again — a knee injury prevented Hall from defending his title.

Hall also has wrestled with the TNA, which tapes its matches at Universal Studios Florida.

________________________ ________________________ ________________________ ____________________

I like how after providing a factual account of the incident, the Orlando Sentinel concludes by giving highlights of Hall’s storied “fight history.”

If they wrote an article about Stallone, would they chronicle his boxing record/stats from the Rocky franchise?
WTF?

As a follow-up to the post above:

Primerahora.com recently conducted an interview with Carlos Colon, Carlito's Father. Below is an excerpt from the interview:

“Deseo aclarar que Carly no fue suspendido por uso de cocaína, ni de heroína o marihuana, sino por  abuso de “painkillers” (fármacos para el dolor), que no es algo fuera de lo  común en los luchadores debido a los dolores que provocan las caídas y los golpes, combinado con los viajes constantes. Carly empezó usando una o dos para sus dolores de espalda, pero ya parece que la situación se ha tornado mucho más seria y necesita ayuda.”

Oh, yeah...

Translation:

"Carlito was not released [from WWE] due to cocaine, heroin or marijuana use, but rather for abuse of painkillers, which is not uncommon for wrestlers to use due to the amount of pain caused by the falls and hits the wrestlers take combined with all the traveling. Carlito began using one or two pain killers for back pain, but it appears that the situation became much more serious and he needed help."

Lol...I laughed at that too when I read it, Mont. Some more notes:

Randy Orton suffered a shoulder injury at the OTL PPV when smacking the matt to prepare for an RKO. He was so upset that he trashed his dressing room in the back.

Ted DiBiase suffered a concussion in his match with R-truth and is expected to miss a couple of weeks.

CM Punk was legitamately busted open by Ray Mysterio's knee brace while taking a 619. He needed 13 staples to the head.

Man I can't remember how many times I've thought to myself he was going to hurt his hand or wrist slamming on that matt when he pulls that shit. Good timing to shave Punk's head!

Somebody on here was recently discussing just how bad that PPV was.
Everybody has mishaps - it's just very unfortunate when they all happen in the same night.
