Somebody on here was recently discussing just how bad that PPV was.
Everybody has mishaps - it's just very unfortunate when they all happen in the same night.
Orton's sure as hell didn't have to happen. Slapping the mat to set up his rko...lol...poor guy.

The following is an article from Tampa Bay Online:

Yabba-Dabba-Sue! Hulk Hogan files suit against Cocoa Pebbles maker

TAMPA - Hulk Hogan is going to the mat against The Flintstones.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, is suing the maker of Cocoa Pebbles, accusing the company of appropriating his image in commercials for the cereal.

In the "Cocoa Smashdown" commercial, a cartoon character resembling Hogan easily beats Fred and Barney inside the ring. But then Bamm-Bamm steps in and pounds the blond-haired, mustachioed wrestler to bits.

Hulk, the federal lawsuit states, "is shown humiliated and cracked into pieces with broken teeth, with the closing banner, 'Little Pieces…BIG TASTE!'"

The commercial character goes by the name "Hulk Boulder," which Hogan's lawsuit says is a name he used early in his career until wrestling promoter Vince McMahon decided he should have an Irish name.

The lawsuit says Post Foods never sought or received Hogan's permission to use his likeness to promote the cereal. Hogan says he raised his objections with Post in August, but the ads continued.

Hogan says he is marketing his own products, including the Hogan Energy drink and Hulkster Burgers, a line of microwaveable hamburgers and chicken sandwiches sold at Walmart.

The wrestler contends he has been harmed by, among other things, "the unauthorized and degrading depictions in the Cocoa Smashdown advertisements."

A Post spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment.

I don't hate him. My only beef with him is his attitude. He only started his wrestling career in 2003. HHH & Flair made him through the Evolution group and he owes everything he has to those two. Fact.

Then there's his smug backstage attitude where he thinks he is the best thing next to sliced bread. Booker T actually got into a real life fight with Batista back in 2006 because Batista was going around telling everyone what a phenomenal wrestler he is and how he is world champion and better then everyone on the Smackdown brand and that he should be on Raw and how he did it in such a short time. Guys took offense to this and they ALL sided with Booker T.

Then there's the fact that he is very fragile. Very injury prone. Since his teniure he's torn his triceps twice, torn his biceps once, torn his hamstring once and torn his lat once being out for months at a time.

Hulk Hogan's Back -- No Longer Wack

TMZ has learned Hulk Hogan underwent successful back surgery this week -- and is already out of the hospital.
Sources close to the family tell TMZ the Hulkster had the procedure done on Wednesday -- it took 3-4 hours to complete. We're told bone spurs had shaken loose in his back, but docs were able to remove them.

Hogan is doing so well, that we're told he was released from the hospital the very same night.
Before the surgery, Hogan had a medical scare related to his heart -- but as we first reported, follow-up tests showed that Hulk's ticker was just fine.

Funny visual, considering that 2006 was when Booker T was doing the "King Booker" gimmick (unless it happened early in that year).

Back in the 80's & 90's you had tons of big guys. Road Warriors, Warlord, Barbarian, Huercules, Ultimate Warrior, Hogan etc. None of them were ever injured to the point where they were out for months at a time and they have all been around alot longer than Dave Batista and they all took tons of gas.

Big guys also got injured back then, but they often rushed back to action well before they were ready.
The reason they didn’t take off 18 months to heal was that, in those days, if you didn’t work you didn’t get paid - not to mention you could very well find yourself out of a job.

Today, guys have agents who negotiate things like downside guarantees, etc.

Chemical dependencies in wrestling often began as a way to mask the pain from mounding injuries that wrestlers couldn’t get away from.
Those injuries also caught up even with a lot of the bigger guys: Davey, Hercules, Hawk, Crush, etc.

Hogan's had some back and hip work done, but he never let drugs consume him.

I just thing the guys overall had more guts back then. Now it seems like they break a nail and their out 4-6 months and back then they were on the road 325 days of the year.

More news....

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon showed up at WWE's television tapings this past week with two black eyes and a cut over one eye that went to his forehead.

Nobody seemed to know what happened. Everyone was talking about it privately, but as you can imagine, nobody wanted to be overheard speculating about how Vince got so banged up.

Vince never addressed the situation publicly and if he did tell anybody what happened - they're not talking about it.

Our source says it looked like Vince got into a fight or car accident. Most figured he was in an accident, because if it were a fight, it would be hard to keep that quiet. Personally, I think it was a fight because he probably shot off his big egomaniac mouth and he got what he had coming to him. Stay tuned.

TMZ.com broke the story on Monday morning that former WWE superstar Dave Batista is becoming a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter.

The 6'5", 290 pound Batista was in Hollywood over weekend and told TMZ that he's headed to the Strikeforce MMA promotion, home of another former WWE superstar, Bobby Lashley.

Batista even told the TMZ camera guy that he already has his first fight lined up, but can't comment on it just yet.

There have been rumors for months that the 41 year old Batista would be following in the footsteps of Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. Now, its official.

Admittedly, I’m not up on the MMA stats - but, at 41, isn’t “the Animal” a little long in the tooth for just beginning this type of venture?

These guys don't sell, Dave!

Agreed 100%. He will get his ass handed to him or he'll get hurt. At 41 he is way past his prime. MMA is not WWE theatrics. I knew something was fishy because if you watched Batista in his last few weeks of WWE, he looked like he lost some muscle mass. Probably because he was getting ready for MMA.

I'm not a fan of the UFC or any of that cage fighting stuff. But I will watch Batista if he becomes one of these fighters.
Here's the latest on Batista....

One of the reasons Batista's relationship went south with WWE is because he had a four-picture agreement with David DeFalco, the guy who directed Wrong Side of Town with Batista and RVD, and was given the OK by John Laurinaitis to take time off to film the movies. When Laurinaitis told Vince McMahon, Vince said he couldn't take time off as long as he was under a contract.

Batista's talks with Strikeforce have been going on but it's said that they can't agree on money. TMZ recently noted that Batista has lots of movie and TV offers. They also noted that people in his camp weren't happy when Booker T said he wouldn't do good in MMA and that Bobby Lashley could beat him.

And that will be his cop-out if/when he comes to his senses.
His look & name will probably be enough "novelty" to draw one big card.
Then, once everyone sees there's nothing beyond the hype, his MMA career will peter out.

However, he may already realize the reality of the situation.
Those apparent "contract negotiations" could merely be meant to make it look like he's got more offers coming in - and is thus, a hotter commodity to other industries.
Just keeping your name out there is good.
Keep people talking about you.

If Batista is smart, he'll do some movies. He's in demand for a few roles that are out there.
