To follow up on our earlier report regarding the work visa issues with Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre, we're told at this point that WWE has no idea when McIntyre will be back and the hope was that Barrett would be able to return by next week but nobody knows for sure.

According to a source, WWE creative was told on Tuesday afternoon at the SD! tapings to presume both wouldn't be back until after SummerSlam in August, making things extremely tough more so for Barrett given the way he was booked as the "leader" of the NXT/Nexus group on RAW. It is possible they could both be back sooner, but that was the initial word as of today.

It should be noted that current WWE Champion Sheamus was signed by WWE around the same time as Barrett and McIntyre. The belief as of right now is that he is okay in regards to his work visa, but given the fact how things were handled with Barrett and McIntyre he could possibly be next. This is definitely causing major issues for WWE creative.

Also, it should be noted that C.M.Punk will be out for 4-6 weeks after having surgery on a nagging arm injury. This will really screw things up on the smackdown roster.

Toni Donahoo, better known to wrestling fans as Toni Adams, passed away at age 45 last Thursday.
Toni Adams was the second wife of pro wrestling star Chris Adams. Toni worked as a valet/wrestler in Texas and Tennesse in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Steamboat suffers injuries following The Nexus’ attack

While celebrating the release of Ricky Steamboat’s new DVD, Ricky Steamboat: The Life Story of the Dragon, on Raw this week, several WWE Legends – including The Dragon himself – were assaulted by the season one NXT Rookies, who now refer to themselves as The Nexus.

WWE.com has learned that following a clothesline by Skip Sheffield and a 450° splash by Justin Gabriel, the WWE Hall of Famer suffered cracked ribs, internal injuries and a sprained neck.

I didn't watch.
For those who saw it, I'm presuming this was a work?

the new group called nexus is doing some pretty covincing work somebody better tell them it's fake. that move that wade barrett did to VM was pretty devasting looking the previous week. it reminds me of when chris masters clotheslined stevie richards and rearanged his face, that's when they went back to the dull masterlock challenge.

Yes, it is a work but later on they really did take Steamboat to the hospital as he did legitimately hurt himself during that fiasco with Nexus. He is ok now and is released.

F4WOnline.com recently posted an update on the health issues surrounding WWE Hall Of Famer Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.
The article claims Steamboat suffered a brain aneurysm in Tampa last night and is hospitalzed as our initial report stated.

The injury has been confirmed by WWE sources and is not part of an angle from this past Monday.
Steamboat is currently listed in ICU under 24-hour observation and it has been reported that an angiogram has shown bleeding of the brain.

Later that day...

According to a report on F4WOnline.com, WWE Hall Of Famer Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat's health has been upgraded to stable condition.
Steamboat is likely to remain hospitalized for a while still after suffering a brain aneurysm last night in Tampa, Florida.

And, finally...

From Jim Ross' blog:

"No new news on the health status of Ricky Steamboat as of Friday midday. He's still hospitalized and, as I understand it, is in stable condition and in good, medical hands. A prayer never hurts in this situation. I seriously doubt that any thing wrestling related had any thing to do with Rick's aneurysm. The Dragon actually wrestled without incident in a tag match down in Florida recently and is one of the veterans who takes pride in staying in shape with regular workouts."

UPDATE:

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat actually suffered a burst capillary which caused the bleeding in the brain.
A recent angiogram revealed the burst, which turned out NOT to be an aneurysm as originally thought.

At this point, Steamboat will be kept in the hospital for another 5 days, at which time he will be given another angiogram to see how he's recovering.
It should be noted that WWE doctor's who examined Steamboat after Monday night felt that the injury was not sustained as a result of the Nexus attack.

Oh, this doesn't look good for "senate-hopeful" Linda.
I see her opponent launching lots of attack ads questioning worker safety & welfare.

The following is an article on Linda McMahon from The Wall Street Journal website:

A congressional investigation that began in 2007 revealed that when the company started a drug-testing program in 2006, 40% of its performers tested positive for steroids and other drugs—even though they had been warned the tests were coming. The committee began its work out of concerns arising from the death of Chris Benoit, a WWE star who killed himself, his wife and son in June 2007. The panel found that Mr. Benoit showed positive results in three of four tests for steroids before his death but received no more than a warning.

WWE has no legal responsibility to test wrestlers, but the panel's chairman, Rep. Henry Waxman (D., Calif.), criticized it for failure to adequately police itself. The McMahons "tolerated and created an atmosphere in which steroids and performance-enhancing drugs were used by performers, even though those performers were role models for tens of millions of teenage boys who are most at risk for abusing steroids," Mr. Waxman said in an interview.

Mrs. McMahon said the company never condoned the use of illegal drugs. A spokesman for WWE said Mr. Waxman was a "political blowhard." The spokesman, Robert Zimmerman, added that the performer's health was critical to the company's success, and that its program now includes drug testing, rehabilitating performers and treating in-ring injuries.

Mrs. McMahon's connections to the WWE came into play early last year, after Gov. M. Jodi Rell nominated her to the Connecticut Board of Education. At a confirmation hearing, one Democratic lawmaker said Mrs. McMahon was marketing "soft-sex entertainment." Another compared WWE's website to pornography. Mrs. McMahon won confirmation.

Now, Blumenthal campaign officials say they will highlight Mrs. McMahon's leadership of WWE. "That experience involves marketing violence, sex and abusive treatment of women—aimed especially at children—while turning her back on steroid abuse," said Mindy Myers, Mr. Blumenthal's campaign manager.

Mrs. McMahon said WWE has changed and should be considered in its current form—as a provider, she said, of PG-rated programming, with robust anti-drug and wellness programs for its performers.

"It's more important to look at where you are today and how you reacted to those issues as they became apparent to you, and the changes that you made and how you adapted and made things better," she said. "Because, isn't that what you really want to do in business, in government, and in your daily life?"

Last year, the company changed its drug policy so that a wrestler suspended for testing positive is barred from participation in WWE programs during the suspension. Previously, wrestlers with positive tests could perform if the company deemed it necessary to avoid disrupting a story line. Mr. Waxman had criticized that provision.

So.....Vince McMahon isn't jealous of other wrestlers and their successess? Vince doesn't try to bury his "non-creations"? Check out the article below....

The latest thing that has been banned in WWE by Vince McMahon is chops (Ric Flair style chest chops) not being allowed. This does not include the straight down chops performed by The Great Khali or the hand print chops by The Big Show.

The general feeling is that McMahon doesn't want people doing the chops as the reaction live among wrestling fans is to do the Ric Flair "Wooooo!" and it reminds people of Flair, something they obviously don't want given he is working for the opposition at the moment.

Wow....the old man has LOST it.

Lol...

Its a well know fact that Linda Hogan is a gold digging lazy girl. Pardon my bluntness but the truth is the truth. She never once worked a day in her life. All the toys, the beach house, the mansion she owes to Hulk Hogan aka Terry Bollea. She's the one who ran off with some 19 year old guy who is her daughter's age for Christ sake. She has no brains whatsoever and it is only a matter of time before she burns all the money. At least Hogan still has loads of cash and he is still working and making millions with TNA wrestling, his and Bishoff's Celebrity Championship wresting and other ventures. Linda, her daughter and her nitwit of a son are all losers IMO.

I completely agree, and you watch…
I think there’s an excellent chance she’ll try to come back when the well dries up.
Linda seems completely immature and irresponsible with no ability to support herself beyond her divorce settlement.
She’s used to a certain lifestyle that she no longer has, but appears to be living & spending as if she does (and forever will).

I don’t know the details of the settlement, but let’s presume that - at most - they split everything even.
That’s 50% less money she has to play with.

I’ll also go out on a limb and say that Hulk probably provided a little levity to her childish spending tendencies.
Now, there is no filter, and she’ll likely run out of funds in little to no time.

Meanwhile, Hulk is still pulling paychecks from various endeavors and is more mature in his living habits.
Don’t be surprised if Linda eventually realizes that and tries to come back.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit. Especially once the young kid she's grabbing will eventually realise that he can grab hotter younger pussy and gives her the boot. She'll run into a depressive state and turn to drugs/alcohol and try to play the sympathy card o which Hogan will no doubt laugh at.

Linda will probably end up on E! True Hollywood Stories - or, at least, she would if she had any talent or was relevant.

Re:Superstar Billy Graham....

"Superstar" Billy Graham's health has greatly worsened as the transplanted liver he received in 2002 has begun to fail The WWE Hall of Famer recently underwent a series of tests at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. Results showed an enlarged spleen and high blood pressure, particularly in the portal vein, which often stems from liver disease.

Additionally, the former wrestling champion will be returning to the hospital to have the veins in his esophagus examined. When he nearly died in 2002, the veins in his esophagus ruptured (known as esophageal varices). He solely survived due to receiving a liver transplant.
