A new Beer Garden {oh brother what a gay name ::)} opened in my own town so me and the wifey and another couple went.
We enjoyed ourselves, I had a Hendricks gin and tonic then a couple of Allagash whites. my wife and friends sampled some of our local breweries finest.
It was nice to sit outside, they had a huge firepit, two dart boards, two cornholes set up and it was dog friendly plus a good local band playing classic rock.

First I saw one dog on a leash and though ''That's pretty cool" then as the night went on more people brought dogs and there were 4 or 5 8)

...Our guy Bubba is to crazy to bring somewhere like that ;D but he loves rides in my Jeep with the top down.

I was recently in Houston and they had a good scene of beer gardens. The US does it really well, in NZ we don't have the climate for these type of set ups.

Same here but all the drinks were served in plastic cups.

...Bourbon or whiskey on the rocks in plastic is just nasty :-X

I'm pretty washed up, I didn't really get to see much music. I'd have one or two in the afternoon and that was me  :-X

Yeah, can you really complain about degenerates coming round to your house and drinking your booze when you have so many bottles that you'll probably never drink   ???

On the way from vacation we stopped at the A. Smith Bowman distillery in Virginia.
I wish I had more time to spend in the area because it was right near where a lot of famous Civil War battlefields and we drove by where Stonewall Jackson was killed.

Visited Gettysburg last year while in town for a college baseball thing.

Super cool history all around, and a fantastic brewery in Four Score.

Yeah I always wanted to visit Gettysburg. Where I live all the historic battlefields are where the English kicked our asses or where we ran from them so we didn't get our asses kicked in the Revolutionary war :-\

If you can get get a John Bowman single barrel grab it, you won't be disappointed.

I just finished a book where the old time chief of police loved Johnny Drum :D
