I thought I'd like it but I did not. It was a good idea that someone possibly ruined during the production.
It could have happened something like this ....
MAYBE ... An independent group on the fringes of the movie business decided to make a movie using the original ideas from THE GOONIES, STAND BY ME, and ET, but when the filming was half complete some powerful Hollywood figures were informed of the similarities and they decided to take legal action.
During the process of arbitration, the rights to this half completed film was awarded to the complaintants who then decided to assume the responsibility of completing the production with additional improvements.
But due to budget restrictions they decided to leave the extraterestial scenes as previouly shot. (Big mistake..)
If you see this movie you might experience a lot of deja-vu as most shots in this film have been seen before if you are a fan of those films mentioned above.
