Goddamn, my workouts look pathetic on paper.

Today.

Seated leg curl: 20 reps to failure.

Good mornings: warmups plus two circa max singles. Looking to rapidly increase lower back strength to try to PR my deadlift at 44 years of age. Doing good mornings 2-3 times a week. Not as systemically fatiquing as deadlifts themselves.

Back to seated leg curl: 8 reps to failure.

Lying leg curl: 6 reps to failure.

At this point I was toast. I forced myself to do a set of standing calves, 10 reps to failure.

Then some quad maintenance on the leg extension: 5 minutes doing short sets far from failure with short rests to "get some blood in there"  :D

I was dizzy with exhaustion  :D

That's the point!!!   Turn that sonic speed, ferocity, and relentless energy and anger into the weights and training.  If I don't have my headphones, I leave.   Can't train to the standard I have without that ferocious assault on my senses blasting throughout the workout.   

If I'm listening to heavy stuff I have to remove my earbuds after my hard sets because I'm literally panicking from not being able to breathe along with the sonic assault  :D
I listen to mostly ballads when training, just like Henry Rollins  :D

interesting I was a lifelong rugby player, the s&c coach would only play classical music, so even know i listen to brahms the big 4 lifts. dont you find getting "hyped" causes your form to degrade?

1 hour or so of Legs / Chest supersets.   

30 min of following:

1 minute assault bike x 10 push ups
1 minute assault bike x 10 air squats

I read something about that too. I like the seated variation. The prone did show more growth on some part of the hams, forget which, but seated was "better." I also do a variation of the prone where I only do the first 10 degrees or so of the movement with heavier weight yet usually high reps, feels too dangerous otherwise. This makes it a calf exercise too, even mostly calves perhaps, as calves are involved in that movement range of bending the leg. I figure this range might help might transfer to my deadlift more as you load the hams when the legs are fairly straight in the deadlift.

One of the reasons given for the effectiveness of the seated variation is that you are locked in by the machine and don't have to stabilize the hips/pelvis like in the prone. This allows you to direct all your effort into the hamstrings.

I also think it is fucked up for you to make up lies about peoples kids it's bad enough you lie about me.

Does this look like supervised visitation or a trip to an out of State Ski Resort??? You think CPS is going snowboarding with me and an 18month year old baby in WV??? I have joint legal and physical custody which allows  me to take my son 4 wheeling and snowboarding something his mother has complained about and been told too bad Dad has joint custody he can do whatever he wants with his son.

I tried OTC insulin to help my digestion. I have a godamn digestive disease. I am not currently using insulin. None of that changes the fact you just made up a lie about CPS and my kid you POS
