What Defense Will the Lawyers Create?

I'm sure that Craig and Kelly had a deep conversation about all this during their drive while heading east (supposedly in an effort to get help to get out of the US).

I would assume that the main topic of conversation was what to do in the event that they ever got caught and went to trial ..... and what to say and how to act when and if they ever got questioned by the authorities.

I wonder how that conversation proceeded and if they actually came to some sort of planned agreement?

Secondly, do you think it's possible that a group such as this can pre-guess the defense strategy that the lawyers will present in an attempt to free their clients?

My guess is that they will eventually place the blame on "drugs" in the hopes of securing a lighter sentence. That seems to be the way things go today ..... shift the blame to someone or something else.

In fact I have a strong suspecion that some of that "blame" will be accredited to the victim and the jury and the public will accept it.

juries rarely have compassion for people who put themselves in such condition.  No one forced CT & KR to do drugs; they did them of their own free will.  Remember that chick in Texas not too long ago?  She was involved in a Helter Skelter type murder loaded with drugs an inexplicable beavior unbecoming her norm.  While on death row she became - as most do - all into God and became a minister and helped many people.  Bush was governor at the time - executed her anyway.

They should "Plead" temporary insanity caused by mental anguish, and drug influence. But they must pay for the wrong that they have committed. Does Nevada have the death penalty ??? ???
