always claims he stopped competing because he didnt want to do what he had to do to be competitive as a pro, thruth be told it was likely he had health issues due to years of early heavy use

On our first date, my late wife and I went to the Beverly Wilshire theater to see Peter O'Toole in Lawrence of Arabia. This is how he looked in that role. It is a very long movie, almost 4 hours. Most of it was filmed in the desert. We were so thirsty by the time it finished.

I'm not posting a now picture for two reasons. One is there is no now photo because he died in 2013. The second reason is he really aged poorly and how he looked as an old man just makes me sad. I prefer to remember him as he looked at age 29 when Lawrence of Arabia was filmed.
