Title: I'm new..
Post by: besty on September 10, 2008, 02:02:08 PM
Right, I'm not going to lie to anyone, my age is 12, I'm not sure if you allow that age, if not, ban me immediately.

The truth is, it's always been my intention to have big muscles, and I've always enjoyed doing small weights, nothing compared to you people. I enjoy competing with my friends and they're somehow suprised by my muscles, and since when I've been attending a local gym, not a big bodybuilding place but just somewhere to keep myself in shape and keep my muscles pumping.

My figure won't be anything at ALL compared to everybody else here, but that I am determined to change.

I don't want insults because of my age, size, or anything, I just want everyone to treat me normally throughout the forums, and If this is the right place for that then I'll stay...

Looked at a few sub-forums, won't be getting involved with some of them, but I look forward to future on this site!

PS: My knowledge of muscle pumping is pathetic.

I'm not sure how Ron feels about letting such yung guys post here, but to be honest if you stick to the Positive board, the Training Board and the Nutrition Board, I think you will be OK.

If you wander into any of the other boards, you may find yourself in Time Out.

Welcome to Getbig, junior.

Don't worry about me, I know what my boundaries are..

I'm not going to use any of the protein mixtures available or anything as such, not untill I'm older, anyway.

They taste horrible anyway ;)

hey welcome to the boards man, if you really are 12 you've picked a great thing to get involved in with lifting, it will help you with sports and hopefully keep you away from bad influences, try not to let stuff here bother you too much, you can learn a lot here.

Well I'm dedicated to this, but I only have access to 3 hours of gym per week! You can guess why, so what should I do? My uncle has a tiny tiny gym in 1 of his rooms, he lets me use it but I only go there like twice a week aswell..

hit the big basic lifts hard, try to get stronger in the 6-8 rep range, eat a lot and don't stress out about it too much, you've got YEARS AND YEARS at your age, be a normal kid and go out with girls, go out with your friends, go to school, play sports and enjoy your childhood, bench presses, squats, barbell rows, deadlifts, barbell curls, shoulder presses are the exercises you want to focus on getting stronger on.

I agree with everything man, and exactly what I've been doing, I might increase my working out as I age, however, I got somebody to schedule a balanced diet for me a few months ago, been working on it all the time.

Give us some of your #'s.....height, weight......I'm not sure at your age, you may be able to eat everything in site and workout and still be OK.  Are you on the chunky side?

160cm = 5'3".........you're a short guy, huh?

9stone = 126 pounds.....you're a small guy too.....

My best advice to you, if you're serious about working out.......

Eat lots of protein and stick to the basic compound movements, at your age I don't think you should be going super heavy, stay in the 10-12 rep range, IMO.

Taller than 90% of my age, but in comparison to you guys, I'm microscopic. I always do 10 reps and 3 sets

As for the protein, I try, but yet, need improvement. I've changed my sandwiches to tuna and for breakfast, I'll ask for egg sandwich lol
