Title: 29 years old..
Post by: Nether Animal on April 22, 2016, 11:57:38 PM
Figured I'd share a couple of pics so ya'll have more to go on than my goofy online persona. For the basics: I am 6'3'', so quite tall and very lanky. I am a lifetime natural but have no interest in competing. I've been in/out of the gym for 12 years or so, and am just coming back from nearly 4 years out of the gym and a myriad of minor health problems. So for me, lifting is more of a stress reliever / hobby / something relatively constructive to obsess over. I won't go out of my way to post training logs but I work out 4-5 days a week, typical 3-day split. I was a textbook "skinnyfat" when I started, with wide hips for my height.

back has good potential, whats your weight?pretty lean considering your lay off and getting back into it,delts and arms are getting there too.keep updated pics going.like me ;D,,good structure goes with the height just need to and i learned lots of traps heavy/reps,,2x week if needed..

I'm a hair or two above 200-205 right now. Arms are a serious weak point but delts came back quickly even without me hitting them very hard, so there's an obvious trade-off. Achim Albrecht syndrome  :P

Thanks for the response. I'll post any further pics and updates in this thread, similar to how you do it

i've learned with arms hi reps/partials on curls bottom to mid or midpart to top throw it all in,back work hits bi's too but not the same stimulation pump wise unless of course your a genetic freak and chinups pump your arms up lol,,,i do an extra arm pump day every other week if i can,,my bi's are shortish but peak ok,,i'm lucky my tris always went pretty low and rode up to rear delt ,i'm still like u looking for more/better/small improvements through diet/supp's/hard work..

My tris aren't terrible but biceps are sort of lost in "no mans land", not short enough to get a good peak, and not long enough to really fill out the arm. Also they are very narrow, if you are looking at my arm from the front its really obvious. I do lots of concentration curls with elbow leveraged against my leg. I don't go all of the way down though. I do this with 40s, 45s...Make sure I can do at least 10 reps. Always go to failure for those. I do lots of hammer curls too

that works ,,just train thats the 1st part, eating and extras make up rest..i do hammers on knee and standing across the body hammers arms locked front of hand faces mirror .

I always get really bad forearm cramping after I work biceps. Usually once my pump wears off later in the day, and it persists all the rest of the day.

I drink plenty of water and don't have an electrolyte issue, but this only happens with my forearms.

I started doing cable flyes instead of dumbbells. I use 90% dumbbells for chest and that is probably why I don't have much size, I'm always working out alone and don't have a spotter.

Will try dips more.

agree 100% i just never feel my chest like i do on Dips and Flys with Benches. Only workout i will do for chest is Decline and Incline press if Benching. Flat Bench press i have never liked and i have like you guys mainly worked with Dbs on it.

I would say that tris are actually a strong point for me,, they always have good separation even if I'm not in 'great' shape. arms still need a lot of work they are lagging behind my shoulders it looks weird from the front

No one cares.

Decent build for a natural tho.

It's because it is harder to look properly developed when you are upwards of 6 feet tall, especially as a natural. Not really an excuse, but I feel it is necessary to set the context because I know I have a lot of improvement to make.

Why are your pictures so shitty?

Instead of including your height you should include your megapixels.

The camera on my cell phone is fucked up. It will only shoot and save videos, not pics. So I have to take a screenshot of a video, which is already in lower resolution to begin with.

No problem with manlets, but they hate me for sure. I don't have that inherent anger at the world for making me short.

It was just a matter of enlarging the photo and lightning it up a bit.

STUNT,

Thanks. The problem is the raw image resolution. As I've said, my phone is messed up and will only shoot videos, which naturally have a lower resolution to keep file size low. All of my images are screenshots taken from videos. It's actually a good idea because you can pick which frame looks best, but I just need a better camera period.

Im the same at the moment, I seem to have some impingement holding my shoulder up a bit
It only a recent thing, maybe we need some physio mate

My entire left side is significantly smaller than my right, even though strength is equal. Really bad elbow sprain during high school basketball and I didn't go to the doctor - afraid I was going to spend the summer of my senior year in a cast. My left forearm/brachioradialis is like nonexistent.
