Title: Predator - Then and Now
Post by: Shizzo on November 08, 2017, 04:06:17 PM
I happened to stumble upon this video. It seems that Predator, is a movie that is close to many Getbigger's  hearts. Hopefully, this can shed light on the wonderful people who helped make this movie possible.

A lot of them still look good today. Richard Chaves looks great for 66 and the girl looks good too for being in her mid 50's.

Arnold looked good up until 2003 (mid 50's). He's since aged about 100 years and lost 3-4" in height.

Arnold can look very young still. This is from filming of his brand new movie Killing Gunther. Looks fantastic, in his early 50s:

Only the haircut makes him look in his 50's there .

Like our buddy said he has aged terribly from 2003 and beyond

good job Shizzo! im a huge predator fan.... Didnt know Sunny had passed....remmeber reading Sunny was a hot head in real life. he needed people to calm him down and keep his temper down(body guards) in his early acting days(dont know how much truth there is to that). Arnold looks younger when he has the high and tight, military style haircut. Even that of a older aged pic of him(recent) a getbigger posted...

another fact...Shane Black was in the original Predator. He was contracted to direct/write the newest Predator coming out. should be interesting.... he hinted out bringing the original story back.(maybe even Arnold making a showing). not a remake...but a follow up story...im actually kinda excited

I considered his build here a tie with Commando.

Probably my favourite Oak movie.

It’s completely awesome and is one of those rare flicks that can be viewed over and over and over ...

I saw it in a theatre. Obviously have it on DVD in my collection. And even when I stumble onto it on TV, unless I’m pressed for time, it remains on. Doesn’t matter at what point in the movie it is.

Badass.

I bought the 20th anniversary DVD when it came out. It had lots of good/decent backstage footage and interesting commentary with John McTiernan, who supplied audio trivia during a replay of the entire movie.

An all-new entry in the Predator franchise, “Prey” is set in the world of the Comanche Nation 300 years ago.  See the original film directed by Dan Trachtenberg (“The Boys,” “10 Cloverfield Lane”) and produced by Jhane Myers, only on Hulu in 2022.

I kind of like the Alien - Predator concept. The evolved super warrior species. The last movies where pretty crappy but the concept, "mythology" and idea from the start was good.

"Actor"?!  That has a weenie?  Ewwwww!  'Oh well, that explains how the left cannot whine about a paleface playing a Naaaaaaativvve American.

Her name is Amber Midthunder, is a member of a Sioux tribe, born in the USA. She is the real deal- a woman and western Indian.

I fear they will turn it into racist whitey hate festival. Otherwise, I enjoyed it and I very much like the babe that plays Stormfront. Nice Jewish girl...I'll be in Hebrew Hades for that one... ;D

You had native americans' offspring in terminator so the predator just went with the real deal.

Arnold looked good up until 2003 (mid 50's). He's since aged about 100 years and lost 3-4" in height.

I agree. I think most men with hrt can hold it together until mid to late 50's. Guys with crazy genetics can look great into early 60's then they seem to fall apart

The cast and filmmakers of #Prey thrilled fans at @BeyondFest with a special screening in both English and the Comanche dub.

It's okay if done well and not forced.  It has been done before.

Stick a dirty, bucktoofed, happy-nappy headed non-binary-bottom-bitch hAfrican bassetball player (aka: Britney Griner) in the titular title role and call it "Dreadator".

Get the three fugly bitches from that Clit-flick Ghostbusters remake to battle the bitch.  Hollyweird will go moist.

Getbig is going soft.  The movie was woke garbage.  From a Predator that can apparently breath earth air now but can't 300 years in the future and, comically, finds it a "challenge" to hunt humans with primitive technology to the dirty foul white European caricatures so classically evil they literally had a guy twirling his mustache as he cackled.

The usual tropes of a female warrior who looks 15 and like she's never missed a meal held back by the patriarchy but whose actions, when examined objectively, led to the death of her brother and many tribes people just so she could be the one holding the spear of leadership at the end.  She faces no inner turmoil or tribal repercussions for her actions...because "go girl" or something.

The Indians all speak with English contractions and of course live in peace and harmony with nature vs the vile ugly Europeans who rape, genocide and enslave the natives.

She teaches herself how to fight because no man can teach her anything!  A 60 second montage of her throwing an axe at a tree with a rope is enough training for her to be able to stand toe to toe with the Predator before outsmarting him with his own futuristic tech because....  This was simply the Star Wars Rey character reskinned.

Ridiculous movie from start to finish.

On the plus side the cinematography was nice.
