Yeah, I know they did an actual re-make back in 2013 or so of the original.
This was more of a new story, new family gets a hold of the book of the dead...
(But I know what you mean) like a re-boot.

I try not to tell people "yeah it was good" or "it was great" etc. anymore.
Just that I enjoyed it. A lot of fun this one...

"The Popes Exorcist" (Russel Crowe). Decent movie.
Had all the usual things (heads spinning, walking on all 4's like a spider/insect, etc)...

But decent (for free)... Usenet download...
Decent set of knockers in the film, so it gets "Two Tits Up" from me..

Just watched Barbarians on the flight over here. It was ok. First 1/3 was great with the slow build up in tension. After that just so-so.

It was a rain day yesterday so I stayed in last night. Watched some movie that was pretty good and scary. No idea what the name of it was as it was in Japanese (dubbed) but had White/English actors in it. Someone may recognize it. It was set on an oil drilling / research type platform in the ocean. Had a plot twist similar to the one in Identity with John Cosack.

Some movies do the isolation factor well so that it contributes to the plot line (Shining, The Thing, Alien, Evil Dead, etc) this one did too.

Lately I`ve been watching about 20 minutes of a zillion so called horror movies before I change the channel in disgust.........most are utter garbage.

Have they forgotten how to make anything creepy/actually eerily scary.....now it`s just the standard "Six teens go to a haunted cabin in the woods" bullshit?

Hard to find good movies in any genre these days. All woke and nonsense...

Nearly everything and theme has been covered already. It’s hard to find something original. That’s why the Blair Witch Project did so well. Shitty plot but they pulled it off with the unusual (at that time) found footage type film.

Also the invincible type killer has gotten stale. Jason Freddy Michael etc

And you can’t feel bad about the victims now when there have been 4,000 people killed at Camp Crystal Lake and dumbasses still go there. At night. In a rain storm. While horny. And with a piece of shit car that won’t start for 9 days after you turn it off.

Looks decent enough. 5.2 rating on IMDB is usually "good enough" (and sometimes VERY good).
There was a Korean "Forest of Death" back in 2007 which wasnt bad. (A different story)...

Yeah, I started watching The Pope's Exorcist last night and got (no spoilers) to the point where the Family turned up at the place being restored then paused for the points below*

Good points
Love Rusty Crowe, and his Italian was pretty good (and surprising)
Good cinematography

Not so good points*
The non-binary looking 'son' that is clearly going to be the victim
The fucken bitch 15 yr old daughter smoking and giving her Mom shit

Any GetBiggers know if it's worth watching to the end please?
