A lot of britpop bands like Oasis, Supergrass and -yes- Blur got heavily influenced by "dinosaurs" like Ian Dury. It's what typical popmusic should be; love for the music, good lyrics, performing live and have some fucking fun.

The U.S. folks here will "love" those accents  ;D
