Declining at a slower rate is the same thing as making gains we would all be worse if we didn't train at all

I prefer the method some call "powerbuilding".
Powerlifting training methods on the main lifts (SQ, B, DL, OHP), with BB/Hypertrophy type sets on the accessories.
Of course anything over 12 reps is considered cardio.  :P

This is what Mike O'Hearn does, isn't it?

Takes balls to train like that...

Not sure what ole "nutless one" does.
Once I saw pics of his home-gym, setup like a shrine to himself, I never watched.
Bizarre.  :(

Yes, I've said it time and time again, you ain't building any muscle if your strength levels are not going up, idc how much ''pump'' you got in your workout or how you ''confused'' your muscles by doing different, unusual things

Why are male gymnasts so jacked?  They do not use progressive resistance.

Same reason the playground dips/pullups guys are so jacked.

Lots of reps.  Low intensity.  Low bodyfat levels.  Genetics.  Drugs help too.

If the top level gymnasts didn't have superior genetics for the sport you would not see them period.

Both have no legs also.

It's true, that's why you should do both.

I've always believed in changing your training between pure strength overload training and higher rep training.

You can develop long strength by working15 hours a day

You will also be very tired and likely have no trouble falling asleep after a 15 hour work day. A thousand years ago, I briefly worked as a grip on the Big Valley set. According you union rules they had to give you 8 hours off between shifts. Depending on how long your shift was, you could work up to 16 out of every 24 hours for as long as they needed you. I was still a kid, but it was exhausting. BTW, the pay was excellent. It was not a steady job though. Not until you'd amassed a fair amount of hours which put you higher on the roister,  Folks with the most hours on the books were called to work first.

I bet being a grip is a job you'd have been good at when you were younger. It was too physical for me....all grunt labor. I wanted to be a set decorator, but when I was a kid I was too impatient to work my way up to that position.
