* week slimdown *

Hey guys,

I have recently just been bulking up the last 4 months or so, eating a lot, working out a lot, not really much aerobics.

What diet do you recommend (if I just did cardio) to start slim down real quick (I am pretty motivated, so lets hear em)

Carb cycling is good. If you can manage it, zero carb is pretty good too. Personally i like carb cycling as it allows for a bit of variety with food. Basically, follow it like this:

2 days Moderate (or high) carb
2 days low carb
3 days NO carb
(the 3 day bit can be whatever, mod, low, no, up to you)

Protein high, healthy fats moderate.

Or go NO carb with a higher carb day every now and again. Keep helathy fats higher with this version. But both diets are good.

Now you said "if i just do cardio", now unless im interpreting this wrong, DO NOT stop weight training. Theres no need to stop, and continuing will help you burn more calories and, with good nutrition, maintain muscle mass.

I was always taught in football "You have to eat to build muscle"

I know a healthy diet and food intake is key, however, I was taught that
when you are "slimming down" to never weight train also, because it just
cancels it out.

I will try and do carb cycling, as I think I can do this :)

Would you recommend foods you like for either?

(I can always find foods, just wondering what makes
it nice for you)

You wouldn't want to stop lifting for any extended period of time, I wouldn't think. I'm not sure what timeframe you're looking at, but I noticed the subject said "week" without any specific number.

I'm trying to do the same thing you are, and I'm curious about specifics. How low is "low carb" and how low is "moderate carb?" 50g? 150g? Same with protein. How much is too little and how much is too much? I imagine some of this depends on a person's weight, but is there a general guideline?

Ok, from what ive read, a rough guideline to follow would be
Moderate= around 150g
Low= 50-100g
No = 0g!!

Protein, follow the old guideline of around 1.5-2 grams per pound of body weight. Foods should be white meats (fish, chicken) maybe some beef, eggs (good source of protein and healthy fats). Theres lots of foods to eat, but make sure the meat is relatively lean.

it outlines a crash diet intended for very short term, but very dramatic fat loss effects.

THeir is no crash diet that works when your body is starved for one thing it stores another yes maybe for a week but thats it  My diets look very different from a lotta peoples I diet  on actually 600-700 grams of carbs a day.
