Did you ever get more blood work done?

Are you on any thyroid meds?...or any meds whatsoever?  What about "supplements?"

Food allergy?
"Could" also be a circulation issue.
Do you feel any pain or cramping in the hands?

I guess it must be a common trait of one of the disorders that has 3 of the other symptoms Mezo posted.

Maybe there's something to do w/how hair is affected by the thyroid or something?  I don't know, I'm not a doctor...I just play one on the interwebz!

Is it in both hands?
Are there spots or any signs of pus?
It may be an infection of some type.

Honestly, do a Google search on things like Scleroderma, or even something as general as swollen fingertips.
Read through the symptoms & look for any correlations with what you've got.

BTW - if your hand begins to resemble anything like this, see a doc very soon:

A PCP/general Dr. “should” have a decent-to-good idea where to send you for testing based on your symptoms.

If your indications resemble some type of skin infection, you may get a referral to a dermatologist.
If a circulation issue is suspected, you may need to visit an ultrasound lab that does peripheral vascular testing. They’ll probably do an upper extremity arterial exam to look for occlusions, etc. and then send the results to a vascular doc.

Are you by chance diabetic?

no im not..

hmmive looked it up with butterbeans help and it seems to me its scleroderma/raynauds syndrome..those 2 go hand to hand.

Okay.
Whether it’s atherosclerosis-related or not, upper-extremity occlusive disease is somewhat rare.
Digital ischemia (pic. above) is common in the toes, but the upper limbs have more collateral vessels that can kick in and act as compensatory mechanisms for necessary circulation.

Of course, nobody can accurately diagnose either way based only on the info here, but I really doubt that's what you have.
Good luck.

I told him he needs a 2nd opinion since his current doc seems dismissive of his symptoms.

Not sure if his healthcare requires a rec. from a doc to get into a specialist or not.

Yes, Mezo sclero looks to be very rare so lets get to a new doc and get it ruled out :)

Oh, it could be sclerodoma for all I know.
In my post, I meant I doubt that the pathology is arterial-related.
Although, thinking about it more, I wonder if the problem could be venous.

Honestly, I don't know enough about it (and I won't bullshit you, either), but we run upper extremity venous tests for thrombus on people who present with swollen HANDS and/or ARMS.
But, I've never seen someone come in with only swollen fingertips.
I'm not saying it doesn't or can't happen; only that I, personally, have never seen it.
But, don't rely on me.
Go get that second opinion!

They are not that swollen...as in blown up lol..

They are reddish in the fingertips and when i close my fist  or touch the fingertip and squeeze it with my other hand it goes from red to white..like its swollen/high blood pressure.

Thats not the real problem for me since i believe its mostly due to high sodium food i eat lately and shitty eating in the holidays...

My main prob is the other thread I had som etime ago about cold chills and how my face responds to cold (gets blue and my mouth a bit numb)..I had it for 4 yrs as i remember.

Hmm...that's interesting.
I'm afraid I can't offer much input there.
It may be a circulatory issue, but it's honestly next to impossible to say from where I'm sitting.

If it bothers you or worsens, I would seek out a variety of specialists.
Do as much research as you can on your own to establish a starting point.

Good luck!

Mine do this too.  I think it may be normal.  But like I told you, I have Raynaud's (Primary) as well.

Maybe someone w/o Raynaud's could perform the above and post the results.
