Instead of challenging Obama on his policies you challenged him on his birth certificate. You lost.

Instead of challenging Obama on his failures during his first term you challenged him on his race. You lost.

In every fight when given the chance you never challenged the policies and never offered solutions; you just yelled "Obama!!!" the same way Kirk yelled "Khan!!!" And that is why you lost. That is why Obama was re-elected.

In the last election? It was the lack of any substantive criticism combined with the silly and poorly thought-out attacks against Obamacare, the nonsense about his eligibility vis-ā-vis his birthplace, the blind terror of screams that said little more than "socialism!" and "communism!" and even the extreme focus on his associations was eventually negative, as was the extreme focus on Jeremiah Wright and the insistence of mentioning Saul Alinsky.

Note that not all of those things are, necessarily, nonsense. It's just that they were not used properly. Watching the GOP - between the campaigns, the GOP itself and the media, fuck the 2012 elections up was like watching the Titanic sink in that horrible James Cameron movie. You knew it was going down, the only question was how long you'd have to be subjected to it.

Couple that with the entire field of Republicans (with the sole exception of Ron Paul) and it's clear why Obama got re-elected. Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry and Herman Cain. Are we fucking joking? That's the best the GOP can muster?
