Bodybuilders in prep not able to do podcasts
« on: July 21, 2021, 11:25:18 PM »
I've heard on numerous bodybuilding podcasts, said bodybuilder can't do the podcast because they are close to the show, or can't do the podcast because they need to focus on prep. What the actual fuck? You train 1-3 hours a day, you're telling me you don't have enough energy to function through a 1 hour podcast? You got athletes in other sports for instance boxing, with the series like HBO 24/7 with cameras following them in their training camp, doing interviews and these guys are training 3-4 times a day. Anybody else find this shit comical?

Hey, don't underestimate what a hard job it is to indulge a meal every 3-4 hours and lift weights for 60 minutes a day, BB are by far the most hardest working "athletes" on the planet... :o (a german "full time IFBB Pro" recently said in a Instagram-story how thankful he was that his girlfriend did all the grocery shopping, cooking and housework during his tough prep as he wouldn't have been able to handle that workload himself while "prepping for a show" :D)

She probably does all that even during his off season.

Imagine Ronnie Coleman won 3 Olympia-titles while being a husband and father and working full time as a police officer doing shift work. Today's guys can't take care of their own household or go grocery shopping while prepping for a 3rd tier run-of-the-mill thong contest and being unemployed/"Online-Coaches" (sending 2 E-Mails per day with the same cookie cutter nutrition/training plan attached) :D

Hmmm... 'cocky'... interesting you should use that adjective, as - well... let's just say he actually appears to be distinctly 'uncocky' in recent pics

(I swear I have not altered this picture to make it more O'Hearnian...)

You do realise when preparing for battle there's a lot of metal prep too, not a matter of just going to war with the iron

It’s war bro. Only the strong survive. You have to have the mentality of being able to eat every 3 hours, listen to music while doing cardio, and working out. Some people consider it a hobby and an enjoyable way to stay active and healthy - they don’t know it’s war and not meant to be fun.

Not just Nick, it goes way back to Luke Sandow, amongst others,  he's saying we gotta cut the podcast short Ian and Guy have to eat, what the fuck is this? Are they that sensitive,  you can't hold a conversation? Fucking hilarious.

They have to visualise that posedown in their heads. Visualise destroying rival warriors in the double back bicep pose etc

These Iron Warriors are like Spartans, they just cannot be bothered with these trivial things.

Doing a podcast might make them go catabolic. They could miss their "GH/Slin nutrient timing" by a few minutes, destroying their chance to be the biggest man on stage.

It is such a struggle. Sleeping 8-10 hours a day, injecting 3-4cc's of oil, a few hundred units of Slin and 10-15 IU's of GH, every single day.

Lifting weights for 90 minutes.

Eating 5-6 meals a day.

I'm surprised they even have time to have a relationship.

These Warriors of the Thong are committed to being the largest "athletes" in the industry.

There are Olympic athletes who eat more, train more and have more competition, imagine if they lived life like a true warrior. ;D

Yes, and Arnold worked with Franco laying block and other labor jobs when they first came to America.  Wasn't Zane a school teacher?  Dealing with kids all day while dieting must have been Hell.

Onlyme and a few other old timers said Arnold ever laid brick. He paid people, subs. There’s just a picture of him doing it.

Quite possible as he was Weider's boy but the same stands for everyone else.  All bodybuilders from that era had to work to make a living unless they were a trust fund baby.

the thing with nick walker is , he won a third tier show, this isnt like flex wheeler in 93 who won three shows and placed second at the olympia, most of these bodybuilders who do pod casts like dennis james and fouad are just has been losers looking for ways to pay the rent, they all come off as quite arrogant to , knocking people who actually have real jobs.
