MANY genres they covered ,some of it was good,, record london calling is epic.

London Calling, while a great album, has too much filler material IMHO. Should have been pared down from a double album to a single album. SANDANISTA! is even worse.

The Jam by far, the Clash had a few epic singles - the rest meh.

The Jam had multiple epic albums and singles.

People in the USA don't know The Jam had almost Beatles status for a time in the UK. Slower start than the Clash and the Pistols, bit became bigger in England than both those bands.
