I watched a video of Phil Anselmo talking to a group about his heroin addiction. He made the point that recovered addicts forever comment on ‘hey that’s where I got my first hit’ ‘hey that’s where I used to score’ ‘I OD’d there one time’.

He said it consumes you even after you stop and you will always think about it.

Heroin is a different issue. You don’t see many casual Heroin users like you do casual drinkers. I think a lot of these so-called ex alcoholics like the drama that comes with being in “recovery.”

I used to smoke a lot of weed back in the day. I got tired of it, stopped and haven’t smoked a joint since. I know approximately when I gave it up but I have no idea the exact date.

I dont recall my quit day either .....doen`t matter anyway....but I do recall trying to quit a zillion times until I finally got it down pat.

What pisses me off is when some fuckhead asks me if it bothers me if he drinks in front of me....I chose to quit ashole if I wanted to I`d go buy a bottle.......... drink your balls off it doesn`t bother me or tempt me at all.........I never crave or even think of drinking and I was a big time drunk.

I never think of it unles some asshole like Les Grossman calls me a drunk though I`ve been sober for decades..........he thinks it bugs me but he thinks wrong as usual.

Seriously, I worked over 140 hours the last 2 weeks..killed half a bottle of laugavulin last night when I got home, gave my daughter a bath, then went to sleep with the smell of smoked peat still in my sinuses lol
