This. Homeschooling is obviously the wave of the future but liberals hate it simply because it goes against the interests of their beloved teachers unions.
In fact, the democratic front runner for the mayors race in New York City is just caught a lot of flak because he said teachers can remotely teach up to 300 students at a time.
Certain liberals claim that they started homeschooling (which they called "un-schooling") to get their kids away from sucky public schools. But, they didn't get very far and they lament that their movement got hijacked by the "religious right".
Now, they feel as though they are men (and women) without a country. They don't want sorry public schools. But nearly all the homeschool co-ops, conferences, and field trips are run by churches or Christian organizations, including the one here in FL, where I am (or was) a member: Florida Parent-Educators Association (FPEA).
But, they do have a support group of sorts.
