Didn`t he play pro football also at one time?

Doug I believe played at Texas Tech although I m just going by memory.They had a younger brother (can’t remember his name) who some old man from Brownwood told me was the best football player of them all. I saw Doug bench 611 in a t shirt not these Kevlar sling shot contraptions

Yup he was one huge guy and a monster bencher not like these clowns today who almost literally have 5 people and a machine assist them in the lift !!

  that was his brother bob who played football in the nfl. he came in second or third  in the strongest man in the nfl contest one year.
